Hello,
It came to my attention that you can obtain Super Mario items, characters, objects etc... in the game. What are the steps needed to get these? As currently it doesn't work for me, I have the latest update but I can't seem to find any item in the Nook shop.
Any pointers? Greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Dimitri

You purchase them from the ABD in the town square or via the Nook Shopping app.

Thanks for your answer. How do I obtain the Nook shopping app? I don't have it on my nook phone.
And I don't see them in the ABD neither...

In the ABD, it should be under the Promotion tab in the Nook Shopping section of the ABD's interface. Should look like this.

Otherwise there should be no special requisites for getting the item aside from the game being up to date.

You unlock the Nook Shopping app by making one hundred purchases through the Nook Shopping in the ABD in the town center. It's just a portable version of that, so having it or not having it won't impact whether or not you can obtain them.

Unless I am mistaken, the Mario items were a limited time thing. They don't come back if you started a new file unlike the other special items that show up. You should be able to get them if you trade with another person or catalog them from another person if you have internet.

Let me know if I am wrong though, because it would be nice to get a warp pipe without trading/cataloging from someone else.

They're not time sensitive. I didn't start playing until quite a bit after the promotional period ended, and I still had them from the start.

Ok, a step closer to the solution. Problem is that I have no Promotions tab in this view :/ . How to obtain that again?
Thank you.

That's curious. To my knowledge, you shouldn't need to obtain it. Would you mind taking a screenshot or video of your process to show it?

Hereby a screenshot and
how I arrived to the screenshot. In Dutch but I assume order of items is the same :)

They were a limited time only event originally but after the 2.0 update they were added permanently. I think Nintendo realized just how popular these particular set of items became that they decided to have them in the Nook’s Cranny catalog so everyone who missed out the first time could get them.

Interesting. I've never seen that happen before, so I'm not sure. I'll keep looking.

This thread on Reddit says you need to have your game linked to a Nintendo account. And you may also need the 2.0 update if you haven't already gotten them. If those two things don't work, I suppose I can only recommend asking someone to trade for them.
