Because I have the sense of humour of a simplistic moron I tend to make my villagers catchphrases be sweary, crude, innuendo ridden and generally unpleasant and vile. As I wouldn't want anyone to be offended I don't ever open my gates or share codes. But out of interest, does anyone else do this? Perhaps if there's other equally unfunny people out there I could village swap a little after all?

I happen to find crude humor hysterical. I'm just immature that way. But because I Wi-Fi so much, I don't express this love for crude humor through my villager's catchphrases. I don't even swear when I Wi-Fi because I know some people are easily offended. But I understand where you're coming from. Don't worry, there are other innuendo-loving people in the world!

I did this on Wild World after Wifi became dead. I choose not to do it on new leaf as it would be an embarrassment and i'd be looked down upon.

I sometimes do it because I am sick and tired of villager's always obsessing over their catchphrase's, in one day one villager had me change theirs 3 times in 1 day!

I tend to want to keep my illusion of innocence intact; AC provides some escapism from my real life (in which, with friends at least, I swear like a sailor and do have very crude humour sometimes). I also want to keep things as cordial as possible for anybody who might visit, so I tend to take these things quite cautiously and only give them catchphrases that are cute, silly or both (even if only I know their origins).

I am also a fan of "crude" humor, or humor of pretty much every kind, but I also chose not to extend this humor to my game, as I knew it would limit my experience since I not only allow visitor, but I also allow my town in the Dream Suite.

But your not only in your crude enjoyment. heh heh heh

I'm always amused when I see things like that, but I prefer keeping my town *polite*. It varies.
Wouldn't mind visiting and checking how you've influenced your village though! n.n

I will swear unless in its in front of adults. As for my game I don't find swear words funny so I don't change my villagers catchphrases.

I have the same sense of humor. I try to keep it limited to my bulletin board. If people choose to be nosey and read it, I'm not responsible for what they'll find! I *do* have one of my villager's catchphrase as "you dummy". Makes me giggle and seems innocent enough.

Well it's nice to know I'm not alone! But maybe I have kind of spoiled an element of the game in not being able to invite people over! Ahhh well, it's all worth it just to see a pink anteater greet me every day by cheerfully shouting violent vulgarity at me in capital letters... before politely asking me how much light I go to sleep by or something! :D
