Fun is determined by a lot of factors since this game is very specific in what kind of people would end up enjoying it. For one, you won't get full enjoyment if you arent a fan of Pokemon(Duh.).In terms of game genre, it's a Rouge-like, meaning every time you play you will have a different experience whether it's dungeon layouts, item spawns, enemy spawns, etc., which offers VERY HIGH repeatability. While I, like many others, are driven by nostalgia due to me playing the originals back in elementary school days, it doesn't take away from the main gameplay. In terms of controls, they feel rather clunky and most inputs might end up being unresponsive, which require some getting use to, especially so compared to the original which I think was much simpler despite having less buttons. For amount of Pokemon, at least 95% of the mons from Gens 1 through 3 are represented in some form, with a few Gen 4 pokes here and there. Overall , I think PMD is 100% worth it in terms of being a fun game, and is an amazing experience regardless of whatever your choice of trusted reviewer says.
