Tarantulas and Scorpions

Anyone have a good way to catch a tarantula? I already caught a scorpion, but no tarantulas.

I got bit 3 times, but no luck catching one.

I have been bitten countless times.

An easy way I use is pulling out the net far away, and sneaking up on them from behind very slowly.
Also, if you are near the bus stop, you can get an easy kill there.

Turantulas can hop holes.

They probably do, you were just lucky

They can jump stumps, holes, even signs.

i've seen one scorpion and a few tarantulas...never could catch them and got stung once

Yes they are. They appear in your bug journal, they appear in the bug section of the museum. You catch them with a net.

Would you consider them more difficult than bees? I can't catch bees, tarantulas, or scorpions...

Wow. I would have really loved to know that last time I had a tarantula chasing me. The thing chased me through my whole town, and I was right up at the Abel Sisters near the bus stop, but I just gave up, knowing I wouldn't be able to get the catch.

Bees are a lot more easier in my opinion, I catch them far more often.

i agree bees are easier. i caught 3 or 4. scorpions can go right through holes. i tried digging around them once

One night they spawned evey 5 seconds, now I can't find them anywhere...
A good method is to be close, pull out your net, and strike, they take like a milisecond before they strike.

It'd be funny if the scorpions were venomous enough to kill you and you'd have to make a new character and start over. Just grab 'em as quick as you can.

Here is a method that I used. First you chase them until they are at an edge of a cliff. Then go up and go to the area where you lead them to. Take out your net and they will start chasing you. Then walk or run until you reach the slope that goes down. Get close to the bug, but stay on the opposite site. Get a good distance and swing your net. If you are near a bus stop when it happens just take out your net and run like mad to it. For this you may have to swing it diagonally for a better chance. I don't have any advice for catching them on islands though.
