TBT App?

Anyone else think that Bell Tree Forums needs an app? Browsing on mobile is fine, but an app would be easier. I'd pay $10 for the app!

Why pay $10 when you can just use the mobile site for free?

We have no plans to make an app at this time. However, you could always add the website to your home screen, so it's accessible like an app.

Developing an app and making sure it works well on multiple platforms (unless they stick with iOS) would take a lot of time and work though. And while you're willing to pay, the majority would probably stick with the free web version.

VBulletin is already formatted to work fairly efficiently with mobile - I don't think it'd be in their best interest to spend time developing an app.

Yeah, just use the mobile site. I wouldn't trust a third-party app anyway due to identity theft and whatnot.

Mobile is fine for me right now (I'm using it now!) but an app would be pretty cool. Sometimes it can get a bit annoying zooming in and what not... I'd pay around 2.99, a tenner is far too much for a small forum app.

Eh, I suppose you could force the desktop site with Chrome or something if you really wanted to.

They must have desktop mode on. I use desktop on my iPhone because I can see pictures of art and whatnot- I use it to check on freeb threads sometimes. If you're in mobile mode you can't see spoilers, so you usually can't see the pictures in them. :|

Sounds fair enough then. There are no doubt some other features missing too.
