TBT Collectible... question.. a little odd but okay.

So, my birthday month is coming up and planning to get the July birthstone collectible this year... since I never wasn't really into any of the collectibles ever since I started on TBT forums... now I just think it's fun to collect I guess...

I'm just stuck whether I should wait for July to get the birthstone... or buy it already?

Also I don't understand the importance on dates, as I notice some people ask what the dates are on certain collectibles whenever I creep TBT marketplace. Will someone please explain that part to me?

Side note: I also think that it's a lot harder to gain TBT bells now than back in 2013-2015 when I was the most active, but I guess I wasn't active until NH came out, so I wouldn't know what happened in 2016 to 2019? xD

I would try to buy it from someone else. There's a theoretically infinite supply of birthstones at the moment (because they're reintroduced every year with no stock count), so people will sell birthstones for less than what you can buy them for in the shop.

Oh alrighty. Thanks for the tip! I'll try to find someone. x'D Cause I noticed they go for about 300 bells in the shop and some people only sell it for 100-200 TBT.

Yeah, you might have to wait a bit, but I can't remember a time in recent memory when a birthstone sold for more than 299 bells.

I can't either... I think the prices have stayed the same for the most part ever since I joined at least. If my memory serves me correctly. :S

In regards to this as well... and my anxiety is through the roof now.

I asked someone if they are still selling their birthstone collectible since I saw their post from a month ago and they said that they can sell it to me and the conversation was going well... and I didn't want to post on their thread because it's gonna get bump and I already don't have a lot of TBT to begin with to be auctioning off a birthstone... >.<''

What I just find weird is that they just sent me a message that they can do the trade "now" (which was around 3 hours ago) so I'm like okay, so I sent the TBT within 2 mins of that reply since you know how it says like (2 mins ago) in the messages?

Right after that, I never got any messages from them back. I thought I would at least be able to get it as well, since 2 mins isn't that long of a time from their last message, so basically she sent it at 4:20 (EST for me) and I sent mine and the TBT at 4:23 (EST) I also sent one around 5pm EST....

It's been nearly 3 hours since their last message to me... just making me anxious.

Not sure if I should wait a little more or what... I know there are a number of people here on different timezones which is fine and I'm not impatient, just wish there was at least a notice before they said that they can "trade now." It's a little misleading and it's already bad enough that its hard to earn TBT bells without having to fully trade other things.

Without knowing who it is, I would say it is possible they just went offline. However, if you are open to saying who it is and wish discuss this transaction further please DM me.

Maybe I'll wait a bit and see what happens until tonight I guess. They're profile is similar to mine where you can choose the settings where you are unable to see what thread they may be on and how long they were there.

I just don't want to disclose the user as it would be unfair to them as it might just be a misunderstanding and I'm just a really anxious bean.
I'll definitely reach out if I haven't heard back from them till tomorrow.

Ah this breaks my heart to read.. I hope you get your birthstone soon <3 I have been on both sides where Im either AFK due to IRL when I was about to do something or been waiting for someone to come back, so hopefully the person just got busy. Good luck! c:

Staff are able to see everyone's current activity regardless of their chosen settings, hence the suggestion.

I hope your trade goes well. I'd say it's probably better to wait until July, because it will most likely be cheaper then. The dates matter because your lineup is sorted by date, and most people want them to line up a certain way. Hope I helped!
