I like the avatar more so as an icon than a logo. The logo looks more official which is why I like it.

Yeah there is too much on the text in the logo. I may change it and shake the letters up a bit so they aren't on a line with each other.

There seems to be some aliasing problems (on the B's and E's for instance), but otherwise it looks good to me.
