Hiya.

Joined a nice Pokemon Facebook group and I want to apply to be their Electric Gym Leader. They use Pokemon Showdown for all of their battles. So I guess I need advice on an all-Electric team, including movesets, IVs, EVs, Natures, and Items. Ideas? Suggestions?

I was thinking these Pokemon:

This is an okay team, I think. Hmm... May I suggest changing leftover from Ampharos to Ampharosite? I think Megaevolving Ampharos may help you out more as he ends up with more speed and makes him Electric/Dragon type. His special attack increases massively. His physical attack also increases, but not by much. I would suggest if you go with my Mega Ampharos idea, make is Special Attack. If you are still wanting to do physical even when megaevolving, then you may do so. But I recommend you test the physical attacking Ampharos before trying to be an electric gym leader. Experimenting should be done a lot for teams.

I see Luxray has a thunderbolt attack. I think instead you should give him thunder fang since he isn't a special attack sweeper. Thunder fang, while having less power, will result hitting harder for having much more Attack stat.

I have a few suggestion for Jolteon, but I doubt these suggestions strikes your fancy. Suggestion number 1: Put Rain Dance on Jolteon and change Thunderbolt to Thunder. The most powerful electric type move. While setting up rain dance, if your Jolteon survives, use Thunder which ends up becoming 100% accuracy due to weather condition. Making it the hardest hitting move with the biggest accuracy. Suggestion number two would be to change Body Slam for Thunder wave in case someone out speed anyone in your team. Do not rely on thunderbolt to paralyses them. Suggestion 3: Change Body slam to another special attack move to bring out the full power of Jolteon's special attack stat.

The other three, Magnezone, Galvantula, and Elektross, they look fine to me. But if you want a different strategy for one of them, I can try to come up with one.

Excellent advice, thank you!

I did some reading and decided to change a bunch of things around...one of which was drop Galvantula. I put Manectric in it's place.

Oh my! Manectric is a very good choice for Mega! Do remember though, you can only Mega evolve one pok?mon per battle. You could have both for a situational thing going on with your team. Like maybe you cannot mega evolve Ampharos because an opposing Pok?mon is Dragon with faster speed or so. While some people not recommend having two megas, sometimes it can work. But that is still your decision if you want two megastones held or not.

Dang, that is one well set up Manectric. I love that you added Hidden Power Ice which would benefit a lot if you know they'll switch for a ground type Pok?mon. And that would be very unexpected for them to know that you'll use Hidden Power Ice. Since a lot of people don't seem to abuse a well used hidden power these days. I once abused a dragon type with Reniclus with a Hidden Power Dragon. Not the best thing for Reniclus, but the person though I'd hack the game the moment it became 2 shots to make his dragon faint.

These are all pretty good changes. I hope you can become an electric type gym leader in the group! And even if you cannot, you know have a team you can play with for fun moments. Or maybe we can try an Animal Crossing Pok?mon League thing. You and I can start it out, have an animal villager be our mascot as a gym leader (Like maybe Kidd being a mascot of a Normal type gym leader) or even make our own character look as gym leaders, but I would have to make sure my internet is stable for Pok?mon battle due to past issues of randomly disconnecting even when I am winning.

Still, do hope you can make it to be Gym leader!
