Alest was born with a condition where his facial muscles were too weak to help him express a expression, so he wears this mask to help him project what he's feeling. I had another concept where he just went through a sht load of traumatic events to the point he's just blank. But he's real naive, silly, energetic, quite mechanical, and somewhat the social butterfly. Griest is just a train wreck and a living work in progress. He's mischievous, quite stupid, snarky, and has a silver-tongue. He doesn't think before he thinks and can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Despite all this, he's just wanting affection and can be quite the sensitive type.
