Sorry I didn't see your question earlier! hiding in the spoiler hehe
Sizes are around 500px for shiny and simple, and 800 for the monochrome busts! I used to do drawings in the 2000px range but since joining TBT, I've noticed most people do it much smaller so I usually don't go any larger than 800 anymore haha xD except for you those few times

Yeah, I think that's because most only plan on using them for tiny graphics. When I used to draw more, I ALWAYS worked at 2000px+ at 300dpi (was also planning on printing them too), so it's such a strange thing to see people using such smaller resolutions and canvas sizes. XD I prefer larger sizes anyway since I plan on using them for personal wallpapers, despite the HUGE backlog on my end for 'em....

Haha, don't I feel special? If you accept any of them, you know I'll be asking for a larger size.

I think out of the 20 I've printed, 6 or 7 of them came out perfect, the rest were a bit blurry or had staggered lines around the edges of the characters.
I got a lil sad, but I didn't know much about sizes and dpi when getting the art pieces, so I couldn't request better printing resolutions.

Btw, thanks for helping me on that! My stickers came out pretty well when I fixed the res and redrew them ^^

Yeah, I only knew about this stuff since I had friends who did stuff for cons all the time and they taught it all to me. I don't print out any of my requested art, so I haven't run into this issue, and why I don't bother mentioning a resolution to artists when requesting art. All of the art I did draw, I never ended up printing, so they're chillin' on my external HD.

And no prob. Glad it worked out.

Yeah, if you plan on printing images, the minimum is 300dpi. And yep, 72dpi is the default. It's fine for viewing on the computer/mobile, but TERRIBLE for printing at any decent size.

I totally agree with the higher res, especially for you ardrey, your work is so beautiful & detailed it's a waist having it at such a low resolution, I'm definitely someone who prints out art but with the typical resolutions you can't really even get a sharp 4x6 print. And you never know, you may want to print these out in the future or maybe even make a book out of them. you can always shrink the res but you can't really upscale the res later on without making it look blurry.

You can always downsize a pic, which you WILL lose finer details. BUT, it will look HELLA better than if you try to enlarge pics. Enlarging pics is really bad and if you can, avoid doing so as much as possible.
