Hello. As I said earlier today my brother deleted all the saves I had on my Switch as a cruel prank. I have recovered MOST of the games as a good chunk of them were things that could be sent to the cloud. So I got a lot of things back. However, Animal Crossing does NOT support the Cloud feature, so I lost all of it. Though I do understand why it isn't compatable. You could upload it to the server, do a action you regret, and then download it to undo it. For example, spending your Nook Miles on a ticket to find a lame villager like Marcel three times in a row.
That being said, I am currently in the middle of getting things set back up. I dd have an island I found earlier, that I thought would be nice, but when it came time to place the tents, I just could not find good places to put them and eventually just placed them, and after about an hour of trying to get Nook Miles to get my home built, I just felt like the set up just wasn't working for me.
For me I am trying for three things in my island.
1. Good Default Layout - I will Teraform some things when I get it, but until then I need a layout that is passable. No tiny strips of land where I can't put things, tons of open space, and so on is what I need.
2. Apples or Cherries - As I do the flyover I get to see the fruit. I don't like Oranges, Pears, and Peaches, so there is pretty much only 2 real options for me to have as a native fruit.
3. Cherry, Rory or Muffy to start with - I have not even seen Muffy once as a starter for me, while the other two have shown up on occasion. I really want to start with a dream Uchi or Jock, and these three are the ones I am considering for the island.
I have noticed something. It seems each different layout can show up again from time to time, showing there is a finite amount of them. However, that's not what I want to talk about. I have noticed, and it might just be a coincidence, so take it with a grain of salt.....that each layout has a predetermined fruit to it. Like if a certain map has apples, if you reset and pick that map again if it shows up, you will get the same fruit.
Been working on this for most of the day, and hopefully I can stop soon, and find a good island. I have seen Phoebe a few times, but while I love her, she is not one of the ones I really want this time around. Same with Mira, even though she is a perfect fit for the Sailor Moon theme.
Sorry, that I have to talk about resetting again, just wanted to explain what I go through each time I have to reset. I know that it's a bit picky to want all that to start with, but I am a Picky Penguin. This is why each reset feels like torture. The long process of checking in at the airport, makes it feel tedious and overly long.
Anyway, I just felt like sharing with you guys why I am just so upset over this, because while finding Hans was a stroke of good luck, I MIGHT be geting his card soon. Even though I am 25 I still usually get an Easter Basket, and I just asked my parents for a few cards instead of a basket this year. Hopefully if I end up not getting Hans in my campsite, I can at least get his card and move him in that way.
Anyway, I am going to wrap up this post. As I said, just wanted to share an update on what was going on.
