The Barold Appreciation Thread

I know I'm not the only Barold fan out there, and I would like it if the others could show themselves. For some reason, Barold is less popular than Rodney, and Barold is much sweeter than Rodney will ever be. Oh, and if any Barold fan wants to take him, he's leaving my island today. Sorry if I'm being too desperate, I don't want Barold to go into the void.

I certainly don't hate him, but the lazy personality feels very childish, and him having a beard and acting in a way I see as very childish always rubs me wrong. NH just kind of ruined the entire lazy personality for me.

I hope he finds a cool island to kick it at. :>

Just wait a dadburned second........no villager is sweeter than Rodney.Just look at this screenshot.Rodney's sweetness cannot be questioned.I like Barold but he's not the nicest cub in the world.Check this out:

I've never met Barold yet. I really like Rodney so I am not sure I could agree with Barold being sweeter than Rodney. lol.
I gotta say, I don't see much about Barold from people. Anyone have any cute photos or video of him in his moments?
I don't see much about Beardo either, but I know Beardo is awesome after being forced to have him on my island one time. Now I look for him.
With the HHP, you can redo Barold's house now .

The terrifying bear-man-cub is not my favorite but he does live on my island and he is fun to take screenshots of. He's an interesting design.

He's a great doctor.

He enjoys different hobbies.

I love Rodney. I'd like to eventually invite Barold as well. I didn't think I'd like Beardo but ended up liking him so I'm pretty sure I would also like Barold if I gave him a chance. However, I like almost all smug villagers. Lazy villagers are trickier.

I like Rodney. I don’t hate Barold. They’re only virtual animals in the end. No use in hating. I don’t really hate any of the villagers except for the snooties. I love the dog villagers and even I don’t like Portia all that much. She’s only slightly better than the other snooties. Barold seems like a nice villager!

i’m not the biggest fan of barold’s design, nor have i had him on my island (i’m open to having him one day, though!), but he’s my birthday twin, so he’s special to me. us march 2nd babies have to stick together lol.

Really, Barold's ugly beard is the problem. Shave it; problem solved. I'd also remove the lips, but that'd just be a bonus.

The Rodney dialogue screenshot is from New Horizons, and Barold's is from New Leaf, I believe. Nintendo changed the dialogue, and I know for a fact that Barold never says stuff like that anymore. Now, look. Everyone loves Marty and Stitches, who are lazy bear cubs, just like Barold. Seriously people!
