I am back with more of The Best and Worst of New Leaf! Last time, I went over the topics related to data and what I liked most or least. This time, I'm going over the items and what I liked best and worst of the items, as well as the customization.

Character Menu:

BEST - of all the new features, I think the badges is the best in the character menus. I liked how you now have achievements. For example, each time when you complete the catalog at a certain extent, you earn a badge. Or if you send a certain amount of letters, you earn a badge. AC needs an achievement system.

WORST - there isn't anything that I didn't like about the menus at all. So in order to pick a loser, I would say the limited storage space. Fortunately, fruits can be stacked upon each other, but 16 items is still too little. I'm not asking for an improvement, something has to be bottom ranked.

Customizing character:

BEST - the clothes. Back in the Gamecube version to City Folk, clothes were like garbage to me, as I have no interest. Thanks to the character redesign, I don't mind collecting clothes anymore. I can even make my female characters wear pants and shirts. However, my characters in StarFall look much better in long-sleeve dresses and tights. That's another improvement to changing clothes.

WORST - you can change your hairstyle of the opposite gender. To me, I think this is creepy that you can cross-dress your characters. It's okay if any of you do this, but I'm not doing this. I'm more of a purist when I play my game.

Customizing house:

BEST - up to City Folk, interior designing has always been my favorite part of the game, even though in one of the first ten entries, I never mentioned it. I still rank this highly. What else did I like? The new exterior options for your house.

WORST - Nook is now charging you more to pay off your house. I find it understandable, but can you believe how greedy he has gotten? Granted, money making is a lot easier in ACNL, but that's still a lot.

Furniture:

BEST - there's a major toss-up between a few things. One of them is the animated furniture, where you can press the A button to turn on or off, especially the lamps and their glow color. When it comes to Furniture Series, the Gorgeous Series wins. When it comes to themes, the Sci-Fi theme is the best. When it comes to sets, the Museum Set is amazing.

WORST - either the Lovely Series or the Nursery Theme. Although I need to collect them to complete my catalog, there's no way I would want to own these items.

Other Items:

BEST - maybe the clothes this time. I like how the character has a better character design as we got a new variety of clothes in-game. Girls look way better in long sleeved tops or dresses than the puffy sleeve dresses that can take up the same pattern as boys shirts.

WORST - fortune cookies. Do we really need to use external currency such as play coins for in-game items you can get alone? It's not bad, but not great either.

Overall:

BEST - interior designing. It's what brought me in to playing Animal Crossing the first place.

WORST - the Lovely Series and Nursery Theme. Featurewise, this is my favorite part of the game, so the worst part of this section will have to be items rather than features.
