I'm off to bed in 5.. But, I'd like to propose something..

A while back, some mods posted in the Mischief Makers thread about how we shouldn't chat in the threads because it bumps them up and it's unfair..

While I think this is an outrage, and maybe they should have a 30 min cooldown before bumping.. It put an idea in my thread.. Would you guys (mainly fellow cyclers, but anyone) be open to having a big Skype group? Not for calls, but just as an IM thing, like we do here, but it's instant, and it'd be away from the constant bumpings

Aw that would be a cool idea, especially if it helped instant notifications for villagers, if you used it for that.

No, the big problem is that it looks like we're spamming and they consider is spam if it's off topic.
I really don't like my voice, so I wouldn't talk that often in a skype call.

The main problem for us lurkers is that chatting in cycling threads "cost us time" because we keep returning to the bumped subscription and just seeing someone chat and not villager movement.... it's like the boy who cried "wolf" (only villager would be more accurate in this case), eventually you feel like it is pointless to stop by and then you might just have missed out on a dreamie :-(
