The frustration with villager hunting on Mystery Islands

So, at the moment, I try to find Tiffany via island hopping and already spent like ~100 NMT with no luck. While it's actually fun for me to search on Mystery Islands for my favorite villagers, it starts to get really frustrating and annoying for me right now, as I get all the time the same villagers over and over again. I saw several times Patty, Deli, Nana, Snooty, Norma, Naomi and Octavian within a short time, got two times in a row Zucker yesterday and today Louie, see barely anyone new... I already try to TT a few hours back and forth while staying on the same day (I basically have to stuck myself on the same day, otherwise I will get a random move in and I don't wanna let this happen) to see if someone new would show up, but nope, the same faces again.

The RNG sucks so much here, like it was easier for me to find Judy and Raymond at this point and they are like the holy grails of villagers here...

I read somewhere that apparently, certain personalities would show up to a certain time? Anyone has experiences with this? Would it help if I switch characters (I have 4 in total, try to find her with my main)? I swear, if I see one more time Norma, Patty or Snooty I'm gonna scream...

I find it a lot more cost efficient and time efficient to just buy the villager you want from someone but there is that satisfaction of doing it yourself - but that takes a lot of nmt

I did island hopping before and it’s a pain sometimes because the game rolls on species and it’s hard to find species with the most animals as well.
This thread might explain the statistics though about the island.

Not really related to the Mystery Island hoping (which shows rng is a pain) but I happen to have Tiffany amiibo, if you want me to help say so!;)

Island hopping was only enjoyable for me at the start, when I was genuinely open to suggestions and wanted to see who the game threw up.

Once I was down to two spaces and needed a snooty and a cranky, it was getting stressful - bear in mind tnat my three-year old son is pretty invested in our island and it's highly unlikely he'll be happy let villagers leave once they've moved in. Except Marshal - he hated Marshal!

Burning through around 30 tickets and literally having one left before I found a single snooty or cranky was 'interesting'!

By the time my son had seen a picture of Octavian and set his heart on him and him alone, it was time to Google 'amiibo'!
