What's the deal with the badge that requires you send 200 letters? I bought over 200 sheets of paper and sent them all out, but still have not seen Phineas with my badge... Is there a minimum requirement for amount of words written? Somebody with the badge, please toss some input.. I don't get it. lol

I'm having trouble with badges too, I though there was a badge for more than 200 hours game play, but I don't have it. I think the list I found must be wrong (It was on the animal crossing app that someone on here made)!

I unfortunately cannot use apps as my phone is old. lol But there is one called Celebrity Villager at 200 hours... I don't know if it's a combination of a certain amount of days and hours or just hours. Cause I know I've played WELL OVER 200 and still don't have it either.... >_>

I've played over 500 hours and I've yet to get that badge. It's probably a lot higher.

As for the golden mail, sometimes Phineas doesn't show up immediately. If it's been days in your game file, though, then it probably takes more to earn the bagde.

I'm on a break so I need to make this quick.

Have you been writing more than two sentences in the letters you are sending? Because if you have not it will not count towards the badge. I've tried this before and sent a load of letters saying hi and didn't get a badge and then I had found out that you needed to write a lot more in the letters so I did the 50 requirement again by doing this and earned the badge.

The gold letter badge was one of the first badges I got, it took a few days though. I got the bronze and silver badge then I got the gold one a couple of days later.

I believe the letters have to be at least 12 characters long for the letters to count towards the badge.

The information comes from the ACNL Prima guide. The numbers given in this thread are identical to those in the guide (I just compared the two). However, the guide also has inaccuracies. But also sometimes it just takes time for these things to happen in game - I TT'd forward four or five days (a day at a time) in my second town yesterday and my approval rating went from 56% to 100% without me having to do anything except change the date in-game.

Well, time for me to write some letters...I've already sent a lot, but not near 200. They've all been over 2 sentences, though, so that's good. c:
Thanks for the information! I already have a lot of badges and I've almost had my town for a month. I love sending letters, so hopefully it'll be pretty easy for me to obtain the badge!^^

For the mail badge, you don't have to write much, it can be simple as "hi, how are you?" That's what I did to get my badges.
Plus you might not get the badges right away because Phineas might not show up. I have a friend that did not have Phineas show up in town for a week, even though she had completed a bunch of badges already.

Also for those trying to get the amount of play time badge(not going to try with the name), make sure the total time that you played are on the character that you want the badge to be on.
So you can't have 190 hours on the main character and 30 hours on a different character.

(While the normal, friend friend friend friend friend doesn't work from WW, this at least gets your required length and a good response back). Plus it's long enough for badge stuff. o3o

Thanks to everyone who responded! Admittedly, several of the letters I sent were blank.. I got bored with it near the end. lol I may just go ahead and let that one happen naturally, then.

OMG you are so right! I've been playing for over just over 500 hours and was waiting for Phineas but I do have 2 other characters. Oh well, I guess the badge will be more of a surprise That's cool! Thanks for the info!
