You may know that in Animal crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk you can buy a Slingshot from Tom Nook's store. (In City Folk you may also have the rare chance to buy a Silver Slingshot which shoots two pellets at once.) The Slingshot is used to shoot down presents that may float by in balloons. Well, using this knowledge I'm going to teach you how to score yourself a Golden Slingshot (which shoots 3 pellets.)
This trick works in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. All you need is a Slingshot! Keep an eye on the skies to see if you can spot a balloon with a present attached to it fly by. (It's also a good idea to keep your ears open as when a balloon flies by it will appear to make a sort of wind-blowing sound.) When you see the balloon, shoot it down. Repeat this about 7 more times meaning you shoot down a total of 8 balloons. The next thing you shoot down will be a Golden Slingshot.
Now if I remember correctly shooting down the Golden Slingshot is a little more difficult in City Folk than in Wild World because in City Folk there will be three balloons attached to it and in Wild World there is only one. (Experienced players, please correct me if I'm wrong!)
