I would absolutely do this for the unlimited tickets and island visits. I don't really need bells or anything like that but I really enjoy island hopping and would have a blast being able to go unlimited times.
Island hopping is one of my favorite activities. I love it. I love the hunt for the villagers. But if I just had as many miles and bells as I wanted, it would take away the satisfaction of finally finding a dreamie, or of getting that house upgrade I've worked for.
This game is far more about the journey, to me. And I intend to play New Horizons for years (I'm hopeful they'll have pictures? Posters? Of the villagers so I can try to get everyones). So if I'm gonna play for years, no need to rush anything.
Nah, I'm too prideful, and prefer to earn my rewards. It's not that I wouldn't trust him, I just wouldn't feel right accepting something like that without doing something in return
No. Most of this game is about the journey for me. If you just handed everything to me on a silver platter, I would enjoy it for a bit but I would drop it quickly and become bored. It is like playing Minecraft Survival vs Minecraft Creative.
Hell yeah that unlimited island visits. This way those that achieve that process can get the villagers they want more quicker. I don't have a problem redeeming mamy tickets since I have many nook miles anyway.
I would! I like going to the Mystery Islands. Found the bell island last night! If I had carte blanche I wouldn't have to grind for bells or nook miles and could concentrate on what I really love-landscaping! Terraforming sounds, and looks, incredibly creative and challenging...looking forward to it!
PS I have no problem receiving gifts, and enjoy paying them forward!
It's tempting but I would have to say no. I get satisfaction from earning my own money and working towards my goals in this game and I don't think I'd have as much fun playing.
I'd consider taking it. For me there's no pride in upgrading your house or grinding miles, I'd rather find nice furniture and decorate my house and the island itself. I could use the Nook Miles achievements as just achievements and I could save myself bells that I would need to change my island and build new things. For me the house isn't the endgoal, the NookMiles are a good system but very grindy. As long as the bell system stays the same I don't really see too big of a problem, I'd rather work on unlocking more with the villagers and making my island look good.
But I wouldn't necessarily take it. My house is far from needing an upgrade and it'll still be a week or two before I really have to grind for only dreamies, and it's not really too bad when you only need one good villager a day. In some ways grinding NookMiles feels like busywork, but at the same time it rewards you for playing the game so it's okay. It could use some tweaks, but the annoyance is alright.
If it worked like an improved version of the shopping card from City Folk (ie. Allow you to use your deposited money at any store, instead of just GracieGrace) as a Nook Phone app, then yes. Otherwise, I'd have to say no due to wanting to earn things properly and having fun at my own pace.
Nook Miles might feel like a grind every now and then, but I honestly think they're better than the system NL: Welcome amiibo had, which was a set of daily/weekly tasks that you could only complete once per day/week.
