My old 'friends', granted it was just two of them, but what they did put a strain on a group of friends I used to have.

If you ever just never showed up to work. Not a phone call to call out or anything like that. Just not bothering or giving notice.

Nah, my work attendance has been 100% since I started my first job when I was 18. If I don't think I'm going to make it I always give advance notice.
