Season 1, Edition 1
Welcome to “The Spider's Shrine” a weekly blog made by yours truly to help spice up the forum. I intend to make this blog a mix of being educational, enlightening and bringing light to awesome things to discover (reviews). In this blog, a slight bit of role-play will happen as well. It is titled “The Spider's Shrine” because I see this as a classroom, but a fun one. I refer to it as the “Church of Monsoon”. I am the “Spider Queen” of the shrine and you the viewers are my Spiderlings.
Now without further adew, let's proceed to The Spider's Shrine's first topic, “Letting go of Perfection and Power and how to be the true you this Summer”!
________________________________________________________________________________
Summer vacation is the time where people are actually able to remember that a world without prison guards (teachers) actually exist. No matter what age you are, you might have difficultly remembering that despite whatever age you might be from whether being 12 years old to 15 that the world is a big place filled with things to discover. In your mind you are taught that you can only relax when that certain “task” is complete and you tend to make excuses in your mind for you not to relax.
I have a quote from an old cartoon known as “Avatar the Last Airbender”, a wise character named Iroh once said “perfection and power are overrated”. Even though it is a cartoon, it is absolutely correct. A lot of people have a drive to simply be the best, but when does being “the best” get in the way of what's actually important? Take a minute to look around you, the world is a beautiful place with a lot of things to do and see. There is no law saying you need to be at the absolute top in order to be successful in life.
Every time you feel overwhelmed or stressed, take a minute to remind yourself of this fact “I'm on summer vacation”. Yes you are on summer vacation, the weather is beautiful out and the opportunities of what you can do are endless. You can swim, go shopping for some awesome summer clothes or even just watch some of the awesome anime out there to sink your teeth into!
Life isn't all about work, take a minute to consider what is out there in the world. Instead of considering “what could be”, we must consider what something already is in the present. You can't worry about the future if you haven't considered what is already in the present. Life is short and so is summer vacation, make it a memorable one because tomorrow is a hope, never a promise.
Activities to Live your Life as if it were your last day alive this summer
1) Go Swimming:
For some of you, the beautiful summer weather won't last forever so take advantage of it while you can by going swimming. The refreshing feeling of cool water on a hot summer day is a fantastic way to celebrate the glorious weather.
2) Go to the Beach:
Maybe the salty seaweed beach waters aren't the best compared to a pool, but sitting in the nice warm sand is! Nothing is more fun than relaxing on a beach towel with a nice cold drink and a good book. (I adore Coca-Cola Cherry)
3) Anime:
There's nothing like a good anime to bring out that relaxing you, especially when it's a perfect anime for summer. A good summer based anime I'd like to recommend is Free! Iwatobi Swim Club it's very theme and relaxing feel is perfect for a summer vacation feel.
4) Shopping:
Although shopping can be stressful, it is also fun and rewarding. Unleash your Ki by hunting down summer's awesome clothes and maybe meet a friend down by the beach. (;
5) Sleep In!!!:
Yes, sleep counts too. After a whole year of the cancerous sounding alarm clock waking you up at 7-8 in the morning each day for school, it's time for you to remember what sleep actually is again. Don't underestimate what a good non-interrupted rest can do for both you and your health.

Thanks so much for reading the Spider's Shrine first edition, as this blog is about bringing the people of the forum together, we will end each edition with a question of the week:
How will you be spending your summer vacation, are you scheduling a trip?
if you have any thoughts or questions leave me a comment down below. I will see you next week for another edition of the Spider's Shrine and as always, the Spider Queen will be waiting for you. Stay fun and safe.
Note: I had my series CONFIRMED by two staff members of the forum so I don't need to hear "But the Blog Tree!!!!." My topics and how I include discussion in my threads make this Brewster's Cafe material. Thanks.
