since its a new character you are doing this with, just reset and try again, dont save thats all

You don't need to go on at 6:00 its just whenever you go on, i create my new character whenevr i wake up, usually like 11am, and just dont log on as the mayor, until ive saved as the new character :L

From the first villager, you can just close out without saving and keep making new players (as long as you continue closing without saving) until you get someone you want or want to stop.

I think they were asking specifically about from a TTer's standpoint, since you might have gone through a few days already, hahah.
