The Villager Giveaway Thread!

looking for the dream villagers in my sig!! if i have one of yours too then just let me know yes (though im admittedly a bit attached to everyone woops)
 
All sheep are classified as dream villagers, but Vesta, Pietro and Muffy are most wanted. Lobo is greatly wanted!

I'm keeping an eye out for the ones I want for sale too so I can offer to buy them or save up more if needed (and I know for a fact not EVERYONE wants them for free--most of the people here are just looking to help complete dreams and for someone that makes them happy--not for a easy freebie), but the last thing I'm going to do is be like "HEY, OFFERING *INSERTSTUFFHERE* FOR THE ONES I STILL NEED" because that ruins the point and isn't very fair to others.

This thread isn't for bidding or trying to buy villagers--it's just to help people.

My statement before (and this one) were just general statements as I've been seeing it become more and more common now :/ And like I said, it is called a Giveaway thread for a reason. I mean, there is an Exchange thread so...

I had already stated that said person and I, (and another person who did it by accident) had already sorted it out. I don't know why everyone is hounding on me for it because it was an honest mistake. I had seen other people doing it so I figured at the time it wasn't a big deal. BUT, I stopped and I know now already by myself. Stop hounding me for how many pages now. (Not only you in particular, but everyone is still talking about it as if I'm still doing it or don't understand or something).

Also, if you can't afford something it's because you aren't working hard enough. That isn't an excuse at all. Everyone who has bells and offers what they do they have those things because they worked for it. That's what busting your butt IS.

woah hey how about we dont fight in the giveaway thread and instead giveaway villagers as the name implies?? if not that second bit then lets just not do the fighting thing yeah
 
I'm not trying to mess up the thread but that happened how many pages ago and people are still jumping on me for it. >w> Not just here, but in PM's too. Please stop, I get it, ffs.

Again, this has been happening much longer than your few posts so... My post was not directed towards you or anyone specifically in anyway (thus why it was tagged at the end of my post--I didn't even quote anyone).

I think that's really rude to say though. I don't know if you mean you as in me or generally, but as for me, I have quite a bit saved up--although, I'm not saying amounts and have worked quite hard and was giving examples. However, as for general, that isn't really fair to people. There are people who can't play as often and thus, have less time to earn bells. Some people also have trouble with the main ways of earning bells. For example, I'm pretty awful at bug/fish catching--I try really hard, but it takes me about 4 hours on average to fill up my entire island basket as an example. I mostly earned bells due to one lucky turnip price (which I only had turnips due to trying to get the badge) and selling to villagers because I'm just not very good at catching things and don't like shaking my trees. Just because someone can't afford something doesn't mean they aren't working hard--it could just mean they lack time or things are a bit more complicated for them.

Do I have to make a plea for someone to adopt Teddy, too? It looks like my endorsement worked for Ricky, and now I'd like to vouch for Teddy. I'm not a fan of jocks as a type. However, Teddy is a real winner. When I first saw him in my town I was disappointed. I mean, there are so many more exotic and interesting animals--Tigers, Rhinos, Octopi. A bear seemed so ordinary. And one with such an obvious name as Teddy? Please. But now I just adore him. He manages to have the jock personality, but he's adorable too. If you have a bench in your village, I defy anyone's heart not to melt at the way he smiles when you sit next to him. There are fancier villagers, but Teddy is amazing.
 
Anyone want Annabelle? Preppy Anteater! She is boxed up and ready to go! I will wait another ten minutes if anyone wants her, or else she is going into the void...

It has been happening much longer, yes, but you only brought it up because of the recent pages with it happening--involving my post and some others. So yes, it is specifically towards me.

Hah. A lot of is is laziness. There is more of this than you seem to think. For some people, yes, it is being unable to play but majority of people complaining is for aforementioned reason. There are always people complaining about not having money for things no matter what game you are on. You go to their town, you see their assests, you see what they have the ability to do and they tell you that they 'can't afford it?'. It's laziness. It's almost always laziness, it might seem rude to you but you tire of people saying 'I can't afford it!' when it's always that reason.

Also, you are implying that I'm sort of triumphantly coming down here trying to buy out and persuade people with my wads of cash that I did nothing for. Don't you think you're the one being rude here? I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else, I'm just trying to work harder than the vast majority of people who use the excuse 'can't afford' to reach what I want. Sometimes you get lucky and get rare villagers for free. If you actually WANT them, then you cannot count on luck and have to actually WORK towards stuff. The only thing I'm sorry for other than the initial mishap is that people do not seem to understand this.

I was going to ask you to take it to PM's but quite frankly, there's nothing else to say. Please lay off, I don't appreciate your attitude towards me and you're not about to change my opinion. I'm putting this in spoilers because at least have the courtesy towards others.

I already recognized my intial mistake and apologized. I asked everyone to stop and they're still going. I would rather try to clear up any further issues that leave it on a bad note. Guys just stop.
