I read it off of someone else. I said I think, anyways. but it's confirmed that some villagers cannot be starters. Look into it if you care enough becuzzzz I don't.

I too heard that octopi cannot be starters. But when you start, you will have a lazy, snooty, peppy, normal, jock, and cranky. Since you start with 5, you won't get one of those, but you will get the rest. Zucker is lazy, Marina is normal, and Octovan is cranky, so they fit the criteria.

Is it possible to talk to villagers while they're in the campsite of a foreign town and persuade them to move to your town?

I've never seen any octopi either, maybe they are just rare. I've seen Diana quite a few times, but that was a few weeks ago and didn't know she was so popular/sought after.

Yeah, it just doesn't strike me as too odd since there's only three of them, and one per personality type they belong to, so the odds don't seem to be favorable, hahah. That gives me hope for Diana though!

I'm not sure. I heard someone tried it on Tumblr and that was the result. I would guess you'd probably have to play games with them, it makes the villager harder to get.

Its just that Octopi were proven to not be obtainable in GC, WW & CF as starters, so i doubt they'd change it for this one tbh, plus theres only 3 cows, yet people still see them as starters a lot
