this blog updates pretty frequently and everyone listed is free. Unfortunately many people (such as i) check and refresh the blog a lot, so it's kinda hard to successfully adopt the villager you want. but it's still worth trying!
probably helpful if you have a tumblr acc, but you can also ask people in anonymous if you don't have an acc.
