WAHU ISLAND UPDATE

Aloha.

Hi, it's me again. Missed me?

Yeah, I miss doing these too.

I updated the dream address today to reflect the summer months. Nothing much has changed, just some bush replacements and floral rearrangements. I do have a vague plan to continue working on my other island, Parkwood, though my interest levels have waned quite a bit despite having more free time from work. Heck, I totally forgot that I was supposed to write another story (whoops)!

In all seriousness, I still got some personal things I'm dealing with that I won't delve into, hence the lack of any story updates. I'm also planning on meeting with a therapist in the next few weeks, so hopefully I'll start to feel better mentally. I will most likely continue brainstorming story ideas the next time I get a self-vacation away from my parents, but that won't be for quite a while as I cannot afford one at the moment. Luckily, the photos for Secret Agent SN-002 have already been taken, so I won't necessarily have to worry so much about that. If I do decide to alter the planned story a bit, I can always go into Photopia and make the necessary adjustments. I feel as if I've got a good grip on this feature by now.

You could say I'm in another creative slump, and you'd probably be right. Combine that with getting some long-needed chores done around the house, and that can explain my absence here. It's all fine though; I'm getting by fine. Anyway, that's all I wanted to mention. I haven't forgotten about this; I've simply had other priorities as of late. Until next time...

WAHU ISLAND UPDATE

The gang's (almost) all here.

Yello, I'm back! Hopefully feeling a bit more rejuvinated this time around. I'm finally living on my own, hence less brainstorming distractions and more creative thoughts.

As a few of you might know, I've been practicing some GMOD posing and stuff, and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. The image you see above was created from that game, using models publicly available (as of this post) in the Steam workshop. This gives me more opportunities to take pictures of the characters doing things that are impossible to do in Photopia. The downside is that I have to blend in assets that don't strictly match Animal Crossing's art style, and Patty's model is unavailable to use (hence why she isn't in the group photo above). Don't worry, I'll try and make the flaws work.

As for new stories, I promised to make a series around Snake. Unfortunately, I'm going to put that on the backburner and come up with something new. Right now, I'm really wanting to make a short story further detailing Kidd's involvement with making Brucewood Mac's second album. I figure that I could explain his fallout with the band in greater detail, as I didn't really provide much backstory around it other than him getting pushed aside in general by the other members. Oh, and this time, the photos will feature them actually holding instruments. Should be cool.

I've been taking long periods of leave from New Horizons, as I'm pretty much completely burned out by this point. However, I refuse to just let the series leave my mind. It's helped me through many rough periods in my life, and I want to show my appreciation as much as I can. Heck, just the simple image above of my villagers posing for the camera is enough to make me smile. I adore them a lot.

Anyway, I'll leave it at that. I'm not entirely sure when my next short story will be published, but hopefully I'll get one done soon. Until then, keep rockin'.
