If it makes you feel any better, I got this book written by R. L. Stine at the library. I think it was from the Fear Street series...the books were longer than the goosebumps ones, and I thought it was time to delve into his "more advanced" novels. So, I get this book. The cover...I can't even remember what the cover was, exactly...I just remember that for some reason, once I got home, the cover was scaring me so badly, that I couldn't even try to read the book. Not only that, I couldn't even look at the cover any more...not only that, but I couldn't have the book in my bedroom with me anymore....not only that! I had to put the book under something, to hide it....from my poor little eyes, that couldn't bare to see it, anymore....I don't even know...I ****ing cried. I legitimately cried...because of the cover...that wasn't even that scary. It just gave me bad vibes xD

Banned because it was really weird for me, thought, because I could sit there and read both "Scary Stories to Read in the Dark", whilst being in a room only light enough to read the books, and I was perfectly a-ok. But this one book cover! man! this book cover! I'm pretty sure there was just a girl, by a tombstone, and there was a yellow car in the back or something...I don't even understand XD

Banned because SCARY STORIES TO READ IN THE DARK
OMFG THAT BOOK.. There was this one story about a girl who had this pimple that kept growing larger and larger... until it became so huge it literally burst into a bunch of baby spiders (since the pimple wasn't really a pimple at all but just swelling due to eggs being inside it)
dear god the illustration for it... I still remember it. Ugh
