Banned because okay, legally, they can, but it's a hell of a lot of paper work, and they can get charged with child abandonment. Plus, if they do they'll no longer be your parents, legally...So, they would have no say in anything you do, legally. Considering how insanely controlling they sound, I doubt they would appreciate that.
