If I delete a visitor message from my profile.. will it say 'message deleted' in its place, or will the messages disappear altogether?

Banned because I believe that it will leave "message deleted" in its place. I tried to delete one of mine (because I accidentally posted my response on my profile), and that's what it did, which is such a nuisance.
