I've started noticing little things about Matcha 2.0 that are less than ideal. My native fruit, apples, are great. Perfect apples are one of the most beautiful fruits in the whole game... but perfect peaches would look better with fairy tale PWPs and the flowers and shrubs I've picked (pink roses and lilies, yellow roses and lilies, and blue hydrangeas). Some of my dreamies have plotted in less than ideal spots. I accidentally let Skye plop her fluffy blue butt right in front of Re-Tail. Avery's plotted along the strip of land that leads from my house to Marshal's, so creating a path between our houses may be a bit of a pain.

Not only all of that, but I'm probably never going to find a jock villager I'm crazy about who also fits my theme. I'm either going to have to settle for one of the ones who fits, pick one I like who doesn't fit, or double up on another personality type. (Admittedly, I am tentatively considering the last one - I don't really want any of the PWPs that need a jock villager to unlock.)

But I love my town in spite of its flaws, and I have no intention of resetting again anytime soon. There's no such thing as perfect (at least not for me), but there is such a thing as "good enough."

This is beyond accurate. My first town, Balamb, is a mess. I put my mayor's house beside Re-Tail, my campsite in a not remotely good spot and I had no idea I could map reset, so I was stuck with one of the starting four. Sure, I reset my town (once), got everyone plotted in perfect alignment and things looked nice, but...it wasn't the same. So I restored my original town.

You're absolutely right: no town is going to be perfect, and perfection is in the eye of the beholder anyway.

It's all about finding the imperfections perfect.

...My town Echo in a nutshell. It's SO messy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have so many good memories tending to it.

Yes!! Thank you. Whilst I love being on the forums it does make me sad when everyone is comparing their town to everyone else's and how it's not "perfect".

Aurora popped her house down right in front of mine (well, I put a PWP a bit in the way but still) and when she left, Lily plotted in the exact same spot. Ruby is placed right between my train station and town hall and took out some hybrids when she did. It bothered me and then I got on with it. Sometimes things like that happen and it's ok.
