This new update has distracted me from the game now!!!

I was making a boardwalk around my island and now that plan is shot to heck and now I can't play at all because I'm so distracted by this new update.

Dang it, Nintendo, why did you have to tell us this awesome update 3 weeks before it's released to get us all excited? Having people distracted over here, abandoning island plans or restarting over there.

I'm even trying to keep myself from restarting. This is all Nintendo's fault.

I was going to re-decorate some empty areas of my island and now I dont want to because I'd rather have the empty space for new items

Same i got the same feeling, i think my approach will be not to restar, to take it easy, and make changes gradually ( cause im sure many things will change ) because i think i and mostly we all are sensorially speaking a bit overwhelmed. I will focus on decorating on for halloween and enjoying the event while i wait and see, well, my other only task is to slowly design an area for crops ( so happy about it )

I actually got inspired thanks to the updates and ended up making a really cool looking spooky forest. Usually I’m fussy when it comes to placing custom pathing and last night I was the opposite. Long may my creative burst continue so I can finally finish off certain areas that I’ve been procrastinating over for far too long.

Kinda considering tearing down my island and starting "over" It certainly would give me a lot to do..

Right, dude? I I mean, granted, I haven't played the game proper in months now. I've just had other things to do! But for Halloween I was going to go all-out in decoration and keep it up until mid-late December when I'd be preparing for Toy Day. Well... scratch that! I guess I'm going to be doing some light decoration to prepare for the insane overhaul my island is gonna get once this update drops.

I'm not planning anything yet. I want to see what the full menu of choices are for new furniture and such before I do. There are certain areas of my island that I've been unhappy with, so those areas are the first I'll be working on. I also know that my small farm area for fruit trees and pumpkins is too small and doesn't have space for the new produce. I'm going to have to relocate it.

Either way, I'm not restarting. I spent way too much time collecting DIYs and filling my catalog to restart. Not worth the loss of progress just to get very small improvements/changes to me.

This exactly at least for my main island. I might just redo most of that island. For my second island it’s given me an idea for a pretty big area I was saving for that slim chance of getting more buildings. Now it will be a nice big upgraded farm since my current farm on that island is to small.

I’ve just done opposite and reworked an area back to my original plan to include a ramp now that we’ll be able to heve two additional ramps & bridges.

Oh big same. Can't be bothered to do anything other than clean up flowers on my island since I keep thinking about what's coming. 20 days!

I just replaced almost all the flowers in my town to somewhat fit a spooky halloween/fall theme... now I have to take into account the vines and new flora being introduced plus other items

Guess it's a good thing I never went hogwild designing. I can easily redo anything that I have done.

I keep on going around my town wondering what to get rid of to make space for the new stuff, plus where im going to put the ladders and vines!! Cant waitt

Theres not an inch on my island that is not occupied
So I definitely need to change up some thing.

I haven't changed anything on my island for months and months...

I was in the process of decorating my island with lots of plants, but now I'm waiting for the new ones before I continue on.

I decided to distract myself.

My island is a mess right now because I was in the middle of decorating, not knowing about all this new stuff coming. So I decided to just abandon ship (aka torn up unfinished island) and spend the next 20 days building friendships, paying off my house so I can choose those sweet, sweet exterior options and 5000 item storage, and moving my villagers to the beach.

That should keep me busy. By the time I'm done with all of that, it should be the 5th.
