I absolutely love the fall colors: the pale brown grass, the varied shades of red/orange of the trees, the wheat-like appearance of the weeds... It's all so appealing to me. Autumn gives me such a warm, melancholic feel whenever I'm surrounded by its colors, like a canvas of crimson and gold. I think about fruits and vegetables, the harvest moon, peaceful solitude and animals scurrying about preparing for the long winter ahead.
While I do enjoy the vibrant greens of spring and summer, the lively wind against the trees and the sounds of the ocean waves, there's just something about the quiet dullness of autumn that really puts me in a pensive, pleasantly sad mood. I've always been fond of autumn, especially in video games.
I like color changes in general. I do feel like the grass as a bit too yellow. But those weed flowers look great with the grass. And everything looks way better with the trees red than yellow. It was overwhelming having yellow grass and yellow trees. (Although the pears on the trees looked great imo)
I have been working on getting autumn colored flowers and purple flowers on my island, so the autumn pallet doesn't clash... but I am wondering how it will look with the winter.. I wonder if my flowers will look too bright for my taste. And I have been thinking about limiting my flowers more but undecided. I think the saying of less is more is hitting the hammer on the head so I have been working towards that but I just don't know what I want >.< lol.
I barely have flowers on the inner part of my island where everything is anyway since I can't make up my mind and don't want to be over ran while being wishy-washy.
I prefer New Leaf's autumn colors. They were a bit more vivid in that game. That being said, I still like how autumn looks here, and generally prefer it over summer.
I love the fall colors in New Horizons, and fall colors in general! I really don't remember what the colors looked like in New Leaf right now, but I definitely see nothing bad about the current pallet.
