Thoughts On Gladys

I have her in my second town and she is just the most adorable thing like Celia and Lolly, she seems like a villager who would be very popular yet almost NOBODY has her or have even heard of her and I wonder why? So what are your thoughts on her?

I have Gladys.
She and her house are actually based on this story:
The Crane Wife is an old Japanese folktale. While there are many variations of the tale, a common version is that a poor man finds an injured crane on his doorstep (or outside with an arrow in it), takes it in and nurses it back to health. After he releases the crane, a woman appears at his doorstep with whom he falls in love and marries. Because they need money, his wife offers to weave wondrous clothes out of silk that they can sell at the market, but only if he agrees never to watch her making them. They begin to sell them and live a comfortable life, but he soon makes her weave them more and more. Oblivious to his wife's declining health, his greed increases. He eventually peeks in to see what she is doing to make the silk she weaves so desirable. He is shocked to discover that at the loom is a crane plucking feathers from her own body and weaving them into the loom. The crane, seeing him, flies away and never returns.

One of my favorite childhood tales. That's why I have her.

I have Gladys in cf, she is such a sweetie. I wanted to try different normals in new leaf though. I'm getting to many favorites that the next game better have more villagers than just 10 lol

Really? From what I've seen Blanche is pretty popular.

Of all Ostriches Gladys, Phoebe and Blanche are most to my liking, but I've never had them before.

Now I have Blanche in my town starting today ^^ And I think she's sweet already, she's being very nice to me as a snooty.

I just got Gladys in my town recently and I absolutely adore her. She's super cute and sweet. I had her in my WW town (I still do, actually.) and I wanted her in my second NL town and she's honestly one of my favorite villagers, even if she isn't popular.

She's amazing. Gladys is my favorite villager, I love her to death. <3 She's adorable, I love her house exterior, and it's really neat she's based on the folktale PopteenPrincess mentioned. I wish she got the attention she deserves.

She's a cute bird. Unfortunately, I had to let her go, because her house was in a spot I wanted the police station.

I loooooooove Gladys <3. She's my favorite villager (Aside from Lolly and Marina). I'm probably tight bonds with her right now (Same with Tia!). And she was my first villager ever ^^. So I'm happy.

Really? From what I've seen Blanche is pretty popular.

I've seen Blanche get voided many many times, but maybe she's more popular now?? idk I had her months ago, back then it seemed not that many people wanted her

edit/ she's still tier 5 on that list in the villager trading section with gladys so I guess she's only popular among select ppl??? lol

Had her in Wild World, was my fav next to Marina back then for female.


She's another one of those villagers where I just kind of "wat" when I saw their tiering haha.

She's my favorite!!! I've actually seen plenty of people who like her, she deserves higher than tier 5 imo

I think she's awesome, and is definitely one of my favorite normal villagers. I did know her backstory, but I also always thought that her head looks a bit like an old school Pepsi logo (a good thing!)

She's definitely a keeper, and should be more popular than she is.

Gladys and Phoebe are my favorite ostricthes. Oh and Flora too

I think she's p great. She's one of the normals I almost invited to my town via campsite.

I love Gladys ;0; I'd so keep her in my town if she wasn't in a problematic spot. I'm hoping to work around it though since I had her in Wild World also.
