Thread title not updating?

I have my own little cycling thread. Like most users, I like to update my title with the names of villagers that are leaving/moving in to attract the attention of those who want them. However, when I try to update it, it doesn't display the change on the forum. I recently returned from a 6-month hiatus, but I never experienced this issue before now. I've tried to change the title both from my phone and my laptop.

Thread: [x] (upon closer scrutiny, the title of the first post is changing, but not that of the thread)

Is anyone else having this problem? Did I forget how to change thread titles while I was gone? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've heard that after 6 months, the title of a thread stops changing.
