I've been fascinated how some pictures are manipulated to simulate the appearance of the subject as a diorama. This usually works well with an elevated angle picture, such as this one:

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Original Photograph</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">
2756604222_bb94fe75c2_b.jpg
</div>

My results were very interesting:

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Modified Photograph</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">
carshowsmall.png
</div>

I followed this tutorial that helped me get the effect just right. It's extremely simple, and summarizes it with less that half a dozen steps.

Try this for yourself. Post your results here.

Diorama. That was the word. It kept escaping me. Thank you.

When I first looked at the edited one I though it looked like a picture in an I spy book :3

Ew, it's for Photoshop. D:
I'm sure you can emulate the same effects through GIMP.

Are you done whining?
I just hate it when people support Adobe's buggy, bloated, overpriced software. Good thing they're going down the hole fast now. =p

Anyway, it's an awesome effect. If I was any good at image editing, I'd try it. XD
