Hi everyone!

How long do you think it will take for some "beginning of game" internet guides / wiki to be up for New Horizons?
Part of the reason I'm nervous to play on release is that no one would have tested anything to create proper wikis for choosing the right things in the beginning of the game.

For example, when rover asks you your face, how do you choose the right path & options to get the face you want for the WHOLE entire game. BUT I know that this specific example won't be an issue for NH with the new customization features, but just something similar if that makes sense. Something that if you choose the wrong one for your preferences, you are stuck with it for the entire game, whatever it may be. 🌸

Typically I give it a week until a decent beginning guide is released. Personally I am hoping Nintendo releases a guide book for NH and if that is the case I would give it a day or two.

I think a lot of people will be trying to rush the beginning stage of the game so I don't think it will take too long!

There's always someone out there who gets the game early so there tends to be very basic info out there Day 1.

It's animal crossing besides the face, name and island name there shouldn't be anything to worry about and the guides will come
fast. Also if you are unsure about anything you can ask in this community. There is always someone who knows more ^^

But really don't worry about it! Games should be played without a guide first. It's part of the fun and the only thing I would look up is the face but that's not a thing anymore :)
So enjoy the game and I think there won't be options which will destroy the game for you ^^

I feel you! I've never played an AC game on release day, so I always had some sort of guide to fall back on. I think we'll have a very rudimentary guide out within the first week of the game being released. Plus, sometimes people get the game earlier, so something always gets leaked and we'll probably know something even before March 20th. For a full guide, I believe we'll have to wait a couple of weeks.

I wouldn?t be surprised if Nintendo teams up with another company to release their own guide booklet. Over obsessing on small details is what ruined New Leaf for me. I?m just gonna play the game with the small info I have

ACNL game and guide book were released on the same day.
Prima Guides published ACNL guide book. Read that they stopped making paperback guidebooks. Not sure if they will make a online guide for this game.

Australia gets the game first. Some Pokemon players made an new account so they could use the Australia Eshop.
Pokemon was streaming on Twitch and Youtube 4 days before it was released. Those streamers never got the game from Nintendo. Nintendo kept shutting streams down but other streamers kept popping up.

Read that Nintendo gave out fewer copies of Pokemon Sword and Shield this time.
Youtube streamers that get an advance copy should have some episodes filmed ahead of time. As soon as Nintendo gives them the okay those should pop up.

If the game gets datamine information will get leaked. Pokemon Sword/Shield was datamine and the complete dex was leaked ahead of time.

For me I'm going to avoid all streams because I want to play blind.
