Tips and tricks for early Nook Miles?

Hi everyone! Experienced New Leafer here, new to New Horizons.

I DLed the game yesterday and spent a few hours playing last night. I managed to pay off my 5k Nook Miles debt and then buy the 2400b pop hair pack and the 3000b color style before I called it a night. I feel like it's going to be slow going moving forward, though.

I'm currently teaching from home (my husband is also a teacher) and we have a 3 year old. We share the Switch, so my play time is limited and I really have to make the most out of every minute!

Does anyone have any advice as to how to grind Nook Miles?

honestly, the best way to grind nook miles are to do what you normally would - fish, bug catching, watering flowers, etc. do a lot of the basic activities and you’ll get nook miles pretty quickly ;u;

yeah unfortunately they are really grindy to get! i rack them up by time traveling and just doing the ones that award double but i know some people don't like to time travel, which is fine! either way you're just basically doing the normal gameplay grind for them.

The daily Miles+ tasks for sure (the x2 ones). Then, for me,playing every day, talking to villagers every day and fishing, bug catching, shopping and fossil assessing have racked me up a bunch of miles.
