Tips for Iron Nuggets? (potential spoiler)

Trying to gather enough natural materials for the Nook Store, and the other wood items were really easy to get (especially after learning about "sticky" trees!" --> link), but I am really struggling with getting enough iron nuggets (you need 30). I only have 10 right now, is there a trick to collecting a lot of these too?

Use tickets to random other islands, they always have a lot of rocks

Also make sure you explore your whole island with the vaulting pole! To find more rocks

i used my nook miles ticket to go to another island and collect some <3 but if u want i can also give u some because i unlocked everything already

Well if you played the older games you might know this already. Dig a hole one space away from the rock. Preferably two holes beside each other, one space away from the rock, so that you won’t get knocked back when you hit the rock with a shovel. You should be able to hit each rock 8 times that way so every space around the rock has a resource. Far better chances of collecting iron that way.

Thanks for the help guys! I knew about the rock trick from NL, but my island only has like 4 rocks and idk if the iron respawns more than once a day.

Yeah, you can only farm the rocks once per day. I went on an Island Tour earlier today and there were 3 rocks I could access. I actually got 14 iron nuggets from the 3 rocks! I'm not sure if I was lucky, or if drop rates are different on Mystery Islands, but it was super useful for me.
