I'm thinking of starting a shop in the museum shop (tbt marketplace). I've gotten some input for what my art is worth but I was wondering what should I do to set everything up? I haven't been on the museum much but all the users who have their own shops have all this stuff on their page that I don't understand, I saw things about slots and I don't even know. I would really appreciate it if people could give me tips and advice to opening my own shops, thanks in advance!

Slots are used to to keep track of orders and to display how many orders you're willing to take at a time. (So if a shop says "slots closed" it means they're not taking more orders until they finish the ones they have, etc)
Some basic stuff you should have when setting up a shop:
-Your prices
-Examples of your art
-Anything you're not willing to draw (if applicable)
-Slots so people know when they can put in an order with you, obviously you can decide how many slots you have/whether you have a wait-list or not

Art shops usually have a rule section as well, which typically have information about how the artist will complete commissions/how you want others to conduct themselves in your thread - well, you probably saw examples of these in other shops.
Sometimes people organize their shops with multiple posts for different sections or you can put it all in one post, whatever you wanna do. Good luck! I never liked typing up shop threads, they're such a pain. lol

Ah thanks for the advice and tips! And oh lol yeah idk everyone's threads are so fancy and have these cool fonts. I also don't know how to do that thing where it'll be something like, examples of my art in some black outline and when you press on it all the pics are there (idk if that makes sense or not lol).

Np! And hahah yeah making the layout look nice can be pretty time consuming.
Do you mean like a thumbnail?

You need to make a hyperlink to do that, like this:
HTML:

I'm not quite sure what's it's called lol I'm so lost when it comes to stuff like this tbh. XD
But thanks again. ^^

Use HTML (font, size, bold/italics/underlines, colour etc all in the top toolbar) to organize everything and make it easier to read!

It doesn't always need to be super fancy or anything, just have the general price, examples, slots (if you want so you're not overwhelmed) and some rules to start off. If you want multiple posts to section off your store, when you make your thread just write DO NOT POST and 98% of the time people will comply so you shouldn't have any problems :)

Make sure you have good references for everything you want to sell, dont make the forms to complex and make sure people see what you have got! Good luck in making a shop

You could also set up your art into sections like headshots, busts, fullbodies, colored, non-colored, chibi, and etc. to make it more organized.

Basically what everyone else has said. Make sure you have examples to show, prices, rules to follow, a tidy form to fill out, and any other information you might want to include. After that it just becomes a matter of making the first post look nice, but you can always edit stuff like that later. It's not too important lol

If you ever need little graphics for your shop, I'd be more than happy to make some for you!
