I'd been curious about all the rain, it was helping with some flower cloning. And helped me catch a few pier fish that was being stubborn. Not the Ranchu Goldfish though. That little bugger wouldn't show up at all until like an hour ago.

Lol, yah, I noticed this too... and then was like "Wait, didn't this happen last year?" So it seems there's definitely a "rainy season" in game! BUT it's a great opportunity to stock up on coelacanths. But I remember my flowers ran wild last year, lol... Thank goodness we have more design slots- I finally made a clear design to help control flower/weed growth and it's been QUITE helpful so far.
And it's close to RL for me at least right. We've had no rain for ages here (like, the grass was turning brown and farmers were panicking) and then, this past weekend and today, the skies opened up and it POURED!

I like when it rains because I don't have to water my own flowers. To be fair though, it hasn't been raining that often on my island

This is completely normal for our games, at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. June and July are rainy season, particularly the second half of June and first half of July. As a matter of fact, my weather is so rainy that my last day I had a star shower of some kind was June 8th, and the next one isn't until July 8th. A full month's time. Granted, that's not really standard, just the luck of the draw with my weather seed. It's not like that at all next year, and it wasn't like that last year either.
During winter, there is also a period of time where we get a lot of snow. Pretty much all of December really. It's just the way it goes. But don't worry, in a couple week's time you'll be back to mostly sunny weather and then won't see hardly any rain. Until the fall, and then you'll get more than a couple measly hours worth like I'm going to be getting in August and September.

this is something I remember from last summer ^^; it would rain almost every single day but I didn't mind that. My main issue was flower overgrowth. It's not so much of a problem now since most of my island is decorated with minimal room for flowers to grow in excess.

Honestly I wish it would rain more often, in game and in real life.
I don't like the rain, because it means that I am having to dig up tons of flowers that have sprouted almost every day recently. I've only recently obtained my golden shovel, and I'm struggling for golden nuggets, so I'm crafting shovels a lot, and I don't really enjoy crafting, especially tools.
(Yes I am aware I can use an ordinary shovel but I like using my golden tools when I have them out of principle!)

I have had a lot of rain as well. I was a bother for a while because of my flowers getting out of conrtol but since I tidied them up it's not a problem anymore. Like someone else mentioned, it's been crazy hot where I live so I liked the rain in game ^^ I also enjoy rainy days irl so now that I'm not drowning in flowers anymore, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

it's so gloomy right now... but i guess it is good for my flowers, as i want lots & lots of yellow cosmos & pink cosmos... or rather, my oc, penny wants them... she wants 97 of the yellow... there's 30 so far, & 73 of the pink... there's 23 so far :>

Ooooh good luck! I didn't know about rainy season and was wondering why my island was filling up with flowers so fast haha. Also a great time to buy flowers as people are trying to empty their towns of them. hehe. That's what I did last year.
