Smash Bros Tom Nook for smash

I wanted him in smash for ages. In fact, I thought he would be playable before both Villager and Isabelle. They did him dirty.

I think Nook prefers to count the bells he makes, rather than getting his paws dirty in some fights.

i recon he would make a hilarious smash character. He attacks you with home loans and bags of bells and is final smash is stealing all your money and driving you into debt haha

I feel bad for Nintendo- they had to release a statement saying that people need to stop sending them recommendations for characters because it was shifting into harassment.

I'm just going to sit back and let Nintendo decide who's in their games, lol.

Yeah, I could see him as an echo fighter for Isabelle, but I don't really see them adding him just on his own with a wholly unique moveset. Makes me wonder what they'd do to switch up the Final Smash for him though, since he appears in Villager's and Isabelle's. Unless they just basically reused the animation but with a tweak, that would be unsurprising but a bit of a letdown. I like the idea of him ripping off Ness and Lucas' PK Startstorm and having bags of bells raining down from the sky. Ideally they'd make something wholly unique instead, but it's not that uncommon for there to be a bit of redundancy in Final Smashes; Ike's, Cloud's, and Greninja's are all practically the same, for example.

However unlikely it may be, I'd totally be cool with having him playable.

I actually agree with this post. Tom Nook makes more sense as a fighter than Isabella. Yeah personality wise it wouldn't make sense but Isabella isn't on for fighting either and it is shown in her expressions in smash. Everyone has a chance in smash. I mean Sans got in through mii costume and a good one XD very impressive. Tom Nook has always been the main character who mentor the player with the only exception of new leaf. Tom Nook had lots of games to grow character development and Isabella only one game. In my opinion Tom Nook is so much more interesting than Isabella but that's because while Tom had lots of games to grow Isabella only had one and she's pretty bland (my opinion). What can you tell me about her? Nothing more than kind, hardworking and caring. Don't know...really boring character but I only want her to grow that's why I think it make no sense to choose Isabella for Mario Kart and Smash. But we know why they pick her no? She's female, a dog, she's cute and more popular by some reason. Tom Nook isn't as cute and it looks sad, cold. Less people get interested to know more about those characters. Yes we can ask for Tom Nook for smash, people have the right to do it as much as others. What we shouldn't do is get to the point we're being pest but we should not shut up. Have some patience and ask from time to time since most people don't understand the pressure they put the game developers in. If no one voiced their opinions we wouldn't have smash characters to begin in since they mostly chosen by the smash developers or nintendo by fan input most of times. So yeah let your opinion be heard just don't be a pest basically.
Tom Nook should be in smash for sure. You're totally right and like you I hope we get him.

Ah yes, everyone's favorite debt-collecting Tanuki. I think I've heard of him. He doesn't seem like he's in good enough shape to be a fighter these days.
