When I use the machine in Nook's shop, there's an option for a gift or something?

Nintendo Items and Point cost
You can only purchase one Nintendo item per day, and you are limited to only 100 total per items.

Yoshi's Egg --- Yoshi's Island Item --- 1,000
Bad Bro 'Stache --- Wario's mustache(wearable) --- 2,500
Toad Hat --- Mushroom Hat(wearable) --- 3,000
Peach's Parasol --- Peach's umbrella --- 4,000
Hero's Clothes --- Link's outfit(shirt-wearable) --- 5,000
Varia Suit --- Samus's outfit(shirt-wearable) --- 5,000
Wario Hat --- Wario's Hat(wearable) --- 5,000
