Tom Nook

What I noticed in New Leaf was that Tom Nook was really quite sidelined in the game in favor of Isabelle despite being the most prominent character in previous games. Now he has a much more active role, and it's Isabelle whose role isn't clear at the moment. The Nooklings are featured in marketing, too, much more than the yellow dog.
I've always liked Nook as a character so I'm happy with this, as cute as Isabelle was. She was pushed pretty hard in promotional materials.
Now that we can interact with Nook much more, I hope his backstory will pop up again. And is it not his tanuki magic that turns items into leaves in the first place? To everyone who hates him, think about how you'll fit beds in your pockets without his power.

I’m so glad he’s back as the animal crossing mascot so to say. I love Tom Nook. Lol sure you pay him all your bells, but what other landlord lets you move in for free and let’s you decide if you wanna pay the loan back or not.

This is true, she's also a professional kart racer. Talk about being overqualified for her job.

I love Tom Nook and I'm glad he seems to have a more prominent role in New Horizons. I like Isabelle as well, but I'll always have a soft spot for the original Animal Crossing mascots, Tom Nook and K.K. It's really nice to see Tom Nook getting the attention he deserves and being back in the spotlight again.

I'm not a big Isabelle fan. I've grown more tolerable of her over the years.

I like Nook, even though he's completely driven by greed.

I'm glad Tom Nook is back in the spotlight again as well, but I will still always have a love for Isabelle too. Seeing Tom Nook back with a bigger role is actually pretty cool. In the earlier games he was the owner of a store, then he moved up and focused more on selling houses, and now finally he has his company doing a island getaway package. He's definitely moving up in his roles, that's for sure.

I much prefer Nook to be the leading mascot of the series. Isabelle is cute, but Nook has been a huge part of Animal Crossing all throughout its history, and I feel he has a more interesting/funnier personality.

I'm just happy over the fact that Nook as well as Timmy and Tommy getting so much more attention now. I do like Isabelle, but yeah they really pushed her too much to become the new face/mascot of Animal Crossing. Still makes me wonder however what kind of role she will have now.

They did say that if we want to see Isabelle, we'd have to progress past living in our tents.
We have the option to do whatever we want but at the cost of not unlocking things... ( ॢꈍ૩ꈍ)੭*

i never really liked or cared much about tom nook but timmy and tommy are really just too cute for words. his look in the switch game is making me like him a little more though.
