Tons of new dialogue since the update?

I haven’t had any new dialog. I just talked to Cole 6 times and he didn’t say anything new. ( the fence dialog was new for me, but that’s probably because I don’t put enough fences down for my villagers to notice. )

1. he ran up to me and gave me a hat
2. told me one of my other characters was stung by a wasp
3. asked if I’d been to Robin’s house
4. told me about someone who visited my island last night
5. commented on his sweater
6. said that I made a lot of fences yesterday

Yeah the fencing thing isn't new sadly. It's just apart of their rumor dialogue they can mention things you or another player did yesterday, such as hitting rocks, terraforming, digging up fossils, etc.

I came across 3 new ones in a row (!) that I've not seen, but maybe not new to the update. They were all about food and I think one was seasonal.

1. Biskit talking about sponge cake and calling it a win-win if he asks someone else what their favourite food is or something
2. Audie talking about putting Moussaka in a crepe
3. Bea talking about her Dad and a new recipe

Audie telling me to imagine hearing music from the house of someone I like (with three options). I picked rock and I when she said "keep believing" she was referencing Don't Stop Believin' lol

I don't know if it's new dialogue or just new to me, but Freckles mentioned DJ K.K. today, with the name in orange text. They've namedropped missing characters before (I think the normals mention a book by Shrunk), but I thought this was interesting.

It's what I'm the most waiting for! I don't know if they changed anything in French too but I hope so! If no, I'll play in English.

Maybe the reason not many people have noticed is because not many people talk to their villagers any more I know I don't beyond handing out gifts but this thread has me encouraged! I'll give it a go and report back.

This is definitely it for me lol. Every time I used to talk to them they would just talk about what I was wearing, what I did the other day, or what I am holding.

Yes, definitely new dialogues during the 1-2-1 chats with villagers. Lazies still have the best dialogues too.
