Too early to path?

So I unlocked my able sisters today and I got the qr kiosk so i was using and out down some design paths, yet i have't unlocked terraform yet, so i don't the actual paths yet. Is this an issue? am i going to have to repath later? just curious because i was getting flustered by not having paths down and couldn't resist not doing it asap

I put down paths since day 1 knowing I'd likely be redoing them again later, but I just can't stand not having any. (Plus the little transparent clovers are just so cute)

Once you get terraforming, you are able to purchase a terraform path that you can customise with a QR code. Basically, you'll have to remove all your QR codes, and re-path with the ACTUAL QR code path.

Though... I think they'd look basically the same, so I don't know if it's worth re-doing! The benefit to a path is that you can't accidentally remove it, fossils can still spawn on it, you can drop stuff on it, etc.

I've been using the premade clover patterns as temporary path planning (so there's only a patch every few tiles). You can use a path QR code now, but if you want the game's actual path version (as in that can be rounded in places), you will need to repath later. So it's really up to you - are you desperate for paths now? Do you really want to repath?

They would look mostly the same but there's the added benefit of being able to round off the ends!

The terraforming paths let you place stuff on them, and also you can edit them to have rounded edges and stuff. It gives your decorations and any areas you build a lot more cohesive look imo. I got terraforming yesterday and I love it :3c each path type is 2000 miles tho, and each skill (water or earth editing) is 6000. Save up your miles OTL

ahhhh i didn't know this!! thank you i was about to blow my miles on tickets again because i have an open plot and don't want a random move in, but i guess ill keep saving!

I used patterns to place temporary paths so I could start designing my island layout early on, once you get the actual paths you will have to go around and redo them. A little time consuming but worth it.
