Too many tarantulas ?

Is there any way to get rid of tarantulas on my island ? There are so many of them I can't run without getting attacked by one and faint =( I love this game so much I don't want to just walk on my island to avoid being hit...

As long as you aren't holding your net, the tarantulas will not attack you Otherwise, maybe add more flowers and stumps so more of the other bugs can spawn instead.

Omg thank you for the info =) I tend to always hold my net by default to catch some bugs, but I won't do it anymore when I want to run safely. Thanks =)

Why not catch them it is easy,when they get up on hind legs stop moving ,then when they put legs down you can move in rise repeat till close enough to get worth time as there 8k each 6k at drop off.

I often catch them but the problem was when I was not paying attention, running around and being attacked =( Now I don't hold my net anymore when I want to do something else than catching bugs ^^

Tarantulas only attack if you have a net out. Your problem has a simple solution

1. Plant more trees
2. Plant more flowers.
3. Don't run with a net.

They run away from you yeah :3 You can even chase them underneath buildings/inside rivers or the ocean to despawn them.

my island seems to be overrun with tarantulas - sucks that i can’t walk around at night with my net out anymore lol

They do seem to spawn a *lot* at night. On one hand, it's nice to have the bells when I see them and catch them, but man I forget and run around with my net a lot too and then whoops, free trip back to my house.

My friend in the southern hemisphere has only ever seen one scorpion, so maybe those will be more rare?
