So, someone recently made a thread to listing the 10 top villagers you hate, and it made me want to make a thread for the top 10 villagers you love! <3

10. Velma - Okay, this might surprise a lot of you. But I originally disliked Velma. She is one of those villagers that you need to give time to grow on you. She seems like the perfect villager to sip tea with and take about school, graduation, and careers.
9. Kitt - She is really cute. I had her in a previous WW town, and believe me, she was very sisterly.
8. Marcie - My favorite species and my favorite color. How cute! <3
7. Apollo - He may look plain, but he is pretty darn handsome for a bald eagle! NTM, he's a softie! <33
6. Ankha - The most beautiful villager in the game. And my favorite non-kangaroo villager! She was my favorite female villager before I started getting attached to the kangaroos.
5. Walt - Another big softie! A lot of people find him ugly and I don't understand why!
4. Mathilda - The kangaroo that got me started on loving the kangaroos...it might just be me, but the snooty kangaroos seem to be the nicest snooties! <333
3. Rooney - The most handsome villager in the game! He is also my favorite male. He looks and is protective, but on top of that he is very fatherly.
2. Sylvia - This girl is a total sweetheart! A lot of my villagers thinks she is.........rude. But I disagree. Sylvia just likes to play tough. And that's because she is. You just have to get to know her to get to the true Sylvia! Trust me, guys. Get to know her. You will...LOVE HER!!! <333
1. Astrid!!!! ♥ - My absolute favorite villager! Not only is she a kangaroo, but she is probably the most motherly villager I have ever had in Animal Crossing. She loves my company, she thinks/worries about me, and she talks about natural beauty, which is underrate in real life! I consider her my in-game mother!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

2. Julian. Um magical unicorn. Enough said.
3. Bam. He's a deer so automatically amazing.
4. Biskit. His eyes are cool lol
5. Fauna. K. Just look at how cute!
6. Merengue. She has a strawberry horn...um cute
7. Poncho. By far my favorite bear cub. One of my starting villagers for one of my towns too.
8. Diana. She's just adorable!

well all my 10 favorite villagers are in my signature for zephyr! buuuuuuutttt I have been walking around that town a lot today and appreciating how much I love each one! now let me rank them in order of how much I love each one

10. Renee- she is by far my favorite Uchi! she is just so endearing and hilarious to talk to! she reminds me of a drugged out version of Merengue and I think that makes a funny story for her. Obviously she straightened out her life and can offer me a lot of advice on life. Lately she is hard to find and kinda forgettable in my town! but I bet she comes back around!

9. Avery- he is a really great villager and I was so upset when he left Riften long time ago, but when I was able to start a new town and put all my favorite villagers in it, he was one of the first on the list! I love his house, his style, and his design, but like Renee he kinda got Blah for a little bit, but he is back on the rise.

8. Zucker- He always got boring for me in a lot of my past towns, but when he randomly moved into one of my old towns I just thought he was so hilarious. Him and Papi always vied for the Lazy spot in my towns, but Zucker's fun house and flan shirt really sells it for me!

7. Poncho- Again another weird personality that I don't really like (I think Jock is my least favorite personality). But his small stature and always acting all jock-ish is cute! I lost him in another town too and I was super upset! we had a break, but the clear choice when I started my favorites town! he calls me Ponch-bro too which is the best

6. Vic- Surprise! he isn't in my favorites town! but Vic is too perfect to move out of Riften! him and Roscoe are the best in it, despite being cranky they are the sweetest! he is not the best looking... but he is literally so sweet! in fact a letter he sent me is the background right now on my phone! I was writing stuff about Annalise when I realized how much more I like Vic lol

5. Lopez- he is just so sassy looking and fun! Smug is my favorite personality and he sells it perfect! I picked him up randomly off a thread and he stood out back in Riften! I have double smugs in my favorites town and I am set in knowing that I wouldn't want an extra in any other personality

4. Bettina- she is so sweet and so cute! she reminds me of a shiny pikachu and the things she says are funny! I've had way different variety in the normals' dialogue in her than anyone else. I just helped her get over a cold and she gave me a throne too.

3. Timbra- my gem of the lowest tier! Literally no one else really likes her and I think she is sassy and fun, but still so caring! I love her design based on a pinecone and she looks great around the cedar saplings I give her! Everyone forgets about her all the time for other sheep, but she is my number one sheep above all the other ones!

2. O'Hare- another smug! he was my original favorite smug, and I thought he was so cool with his little straw boater! I wear straw boaters now in game, and I kinda want one for this upcoming summer irl (a counselor at camp, it wouldn't be weird). His makes him look like a gambler though... and it makes him even funnier! he was one of those unattainable villagers in my eyes, but the first time I got him I knew he would be one of my favorites!

1. Tangy- my track record goes back to my first Gamecube town ever! I'm pretty sure it was Toadtown... and she wasn't even an original villager. She was the first villager to move in and I thought that mechanic was just super cool, kinda set up my ensuing love for the series! I always visited her a lot until she got pissed at me, loved her fruit furniture (its my favorite now), and I have always wanted her in my favorite towns since then! I have little clay statues of her that are my good luck charm and her peppy personality makes me happy every time I see her!

 

[Cheburashka]

1. Ozzie- the cutest villager ever. He was one of the original villagers in my first town and I love him ever since. He is also my closest friend in my current town.
2. Hamlet - I love that he is a tiny hamster bragging about his muscles. Also one of the cutest when it comes to his design.
3. Bruce - The greatest cranky ever.
4. Graham - What can be better than a nerdy hamster with glasses?
5. Tex - The flirtiest smug I?ve had so far... and a chubby penguin <3
6. Flurry - She is the villager I have had in my town for the longest time and so cute. Like a little snowball.
7. Cookie - She?s a pink dog! <3
8. Whitney - Best snootie, best wolf.
9. Julian - A blue unicorn! <3
10. Bam - Another villager I have had for a really long time. I love his color and his interactions with other villagers.

 

[Belle of Pripyat]

1. Maple: I fell in love with her in Wild World years ago. I restarted my Wild World town last November and she (along with Stitches) was one of the starting villagers! I'll never let her go. I think she's the sweetest and cutest little cub. She kind of reminds me of Cindy from Yogi Bear (but much smaller, of course).

2. Stitches: Like Maple, he's not leaving my Wild World town! Lazy villagers are my favorites and I love that he looks like a teddy bear. He and Maple talk about each other a lot. They seem to be BFFs and that makes me happy since I think of them both as my BFFs in that town.

3. Willow: A fluffy, yellow sheep who is sassy and classy! I feel like my personality is a lot like hers. I've always said that if I were a villager, I'd be a snooty. Willow is one of the sweeter snooties I've met. She's also the prettiest, IMO.

4. Derwin: He's the first villager I remember falling in love with in Wild World. He's the coolest little nerd I've ever seen.

5. Tabby: She was a starting villager in my original New Leaf town. I was a little startled when I first saw her, but I fell in love with her right away. Her over-the-top happy, peppy attitude matches her face perfectly. I want her back so badly!

6. Poncho: Yet another one of my Wild World villagers. What can I say? I love cubs! He has one of the cutest faces, IMO. I'm a huge fan of jocks and seeing Poncho always makes me smile.

7. Agnes: I never really liked uchi villagers much until I met Agnes. She's amazing! And her pink house is to die for! I was disappointed when I saw her plot one day. I thought, "Oh, great. I guess Agnes will be an ugly cow." Imagine my surprise when I walked into her house the next day and saw a cute black pig instead of the cow I was expecting. Now I can't live without her.

8. Boone: He was another surprise to me. He randomly moved into my original New Leaf town and I was unhappy when I saw him. However, we became friends within minutes. He's incredibly funny and awesome. I even began to appreciate his looks. Boone makes me laugh when he's excited because he sticks his hands in his mouth. I love it! LOL

9. Bones: He reminds me a bit of the Target dog. (Must be the circle around his eye.) His catchphrase is, "Yip, yip." Seriously, how cute is that? Bones randomly moved into my second town not long before I decided to reset. Before I could do that, I made sure he moved out and came to Pripyat first. He's not allowed to leave me. He's like my little pet.


Choosing number 10 was difficult because I like so many villagers, but the first 9 were no-brainers.

10. Ricky: Ricky is the only one on my list who I have never had live in one of my towns, but I definitely want him. Squirrels are adorable and I love his angry face! He has a perfect cranky facial expression! I think we could be very good friends.

10- Tom: One of my originals who had a relationship with Freya and they were my main OTP, until Becky stole him from Freya

my top ten's gonna be all bear cubs because i have an unhealthy obsession. don't be too surprised. i might do a non-cub list later
i'll count down from ten because that builds suspense, even though the order is probably slightly off because i'm horrible at top tens

10. Stitches! i've never had him in my town, but that doesn't mean i don't love him! i love villagers with unique appearances, like merengue and coco, and he's no exception! i can see why people find him creepy, but i think he's adorable! plus, he gets bonus points for being a lazy!

9. Vladimir! he's surprisingly adorable! he gets embarrassed and flustered a lot, at least with me. it seems weird how he's a middle-aged bear cub, but i see it as him being an adult bear who stopped growing when he was young. he's so friendly to me and all my bear cub friends!!

8. Bluebear! i've never had her in my town either, but unlike stitches, i am actually planning to adopt her! she seems like a cuter, more feminine version of kody (appearance-wise). and cuteness and femininity is one of the many ways to my heart!! she has such a cute name, too!

7. Tammy! it's hard not to like her when she has the same name as my beloved mother! and even if she didn't, i still love her! i love the punky makeup she has, and her house is so nice! it feels like a real home that's lived in! i really don't know what else to say about tammy besides how much i adore her!

6. Poncho! the cutest jock i've ever seen! his eyes remind me of sylvia (who is one of my favorite non-cubs!!) and like tammy his house feels natural and lived in! he always seems to care about me and my health, and i appreciate him so much!!

5. Cheri! she's so cute and lovable! her house is great too! she was one of the cubs i lost in the time traveling mess, but thanks to a kind cycler i'm hoping to get her back very soon! her color is a very nice shade of red and her eyes are so cute and pretty!!

4. Pekoe! pekoe has the cutest little pair of eyes i've ever seen!! her house isn't the best, but the things i don't like can be easily fixed! she's such a sweetheart! i always associate her with springtime and plants for some reason (probably because she has 3 plants in her house by default lol), and that's not a bad thing at all! i love pekoe, she gives me good vibes!

3. Maple! maple has cute eyes too! her house and her appearance and everything about her is adorable! i think she resembles a teddy bear, though not a colorful patched-up one like stitches is. her default shirt suits her so well, and not to brag but my pro design shirts look so good on her!! and on my first plot resettin attempt she landed in a beautiful spot, so bonus points for that!!

2. Pudge! the only original villager remaining (i was lucky enough to get a cub as a starter!). i was heartbroken when he left my town because i stopped playing for too long, but i got him back thanks to one of the many generous cyclers!! he's so youthful and adorable, he's been like my little brother since the beginning! i'm so glad he's living in my town!!

1. CHESTER!! i was so happy when he moved into my town for the first time!! when i first saw the plot for his house, i looked up his name on the animal crossing wiki and i was overjoyed at what i saw! he lives near me, which is great because i get to see him first thing in the morning! he's such a cute child and i absolutely adore him! i'm upset to see he's low on the tier list, but hopefully he'll climb up to a higher tier!

ok i have a reeeeaaaaally hard time when it comes to ranking things in order so i'm just gonna list my top ten villagers in no particular order:

poppy - she's really cute, has a really nice personality and is my best friend in lumatown
melba - the first villager to ever give me their pic, which happened waaay back when i first had her in ww
alfonso - i've always been a huge fan of mario, so naturally alfonso became one of my favourite villagers because of his catchphrase. it'sa me!
eugene - he wears sunglasses. also smug is easily my favourite male personality. need i say more?
felicity - i really like peppy villagers and cats, so...
rudy - you know a villager's one of your favourites when you see them for the first time in your campsite and instantly you're like 'yup, definitely having them' XD
wendy - she's really cute, and has a great personality!
jacques - easily my favourite smug, along with eugene and marshal. why did he have to move out ;-;
marshal - let's see... one of my favourite species? check. one of my favourite personalities? check. house exterior that goes well with one of my town's themes? double check. smol adorable marshmallow? i seriously can't check this one enough times.
stitches - he has a really cute and unique design. plus he's a lazy, which makes him even better.

Mallary has been my AC bff since the GameCube. She used to insult my appearance and fashion choices, give me eye exams, and complain about ski lifts doing "untold damage" to her delicate knee-pits. She will always be my #1 villager. I adopter her in ACNL from someone on Tumblr, and she now lives in Goblin.

Tabby is my second favorite in ACNL, and has been since the GameCube as well. I think she is adorable, and she stands out to me amongst all the other peppies. It's like she has an extra dose of pep. I gave her the catchphrase "kak," because that's the sound my cat used to make when getting up hairballs. I had her as a starter in ACNL.

Maple has been a favorite since she was in my Wild World town. To me, she is the cutest villager in the entire series (well...maybe tied with Molly). She reminds me of my childhood teddy bear which is still my most important possession. She was also one of my starters in ACNL, and her house is in the perfect spot.

Baabara is an elegant lady, and was one of my starters for both the GameCube and ACNL. In my GameCube town, she was constantly repainting my roof. She seems older than the other snooties, and gives off the vibe of having once been a legendary movie star. She and Kabuki are best friends.

Kabuki is another that was a starter for me for both the GameCube and ACNL. He's cranky in the way a gruff yet protective uncle might be. Sometimes I visit him in his house just to listen to his music and dance around with him. He and Baabara are best friends and neighbors.

Pate was my bff in Wild World, as a replacement for Mallary (whom I never managed to get in that game). But Pate is just a replacement, she is awesome on her own. She was always telling me we'd be best friends forever, and was so pleased when I gave her a gift of dino droppings.

Chief was in my GameCube and Wild World towns, and while I have yet to have him in ACNL, he's got a permanent spot amongst my favorites. He's simply a beautiful wolf with a heart of gold disguised in grumpiness.

Roscoe was in my Wild World town, and also resides in my ACNL town of Goblin. He's handsomely beautiful yet also a bit creepy. He seems like a protector of the town--like he'd never hurt you, but he'd do whatever necessary to keep the others safe. Also I once got him to say something hilariously and horribly inappropriate for Yay Day (in Wild World), and it will never stop being funny to me.

Savannah was the beautiful princess of my Game Cube town. I once found her asleep in front of her house, and when I woke her up, she said, "This...is not...my beautiful home...y'all." Adooorable. I was so sad when she moved out unexpectedly.

Pierce or Gabi : this is a tough one. I had both in my Game Cube town, and then had Pierce in Wild World as well. Pierce is noble and regal and was always a cheerful friend and ally. Gabi was cute and sarcastic, and once told me that my head resembled the potato in the stew she was cooking. Also I loved the way it sounded when she said "honeybun," and I still catch myself saying it sometimes.

1) Rocco - My baby since 2005. There's a lot of sentimental value there. He's perfect. Maybe one day I'll get him again.

2) Rocket - My favorite new villager. How can you not love a gorilla dressed in pink?! I was sold from day 1.

3) Violet - I think she's gorgeous. Her color scheme is lovely. I was surprised to find out that so many people hate her.

4) Bubbles - She's so cute that it hurts. Definitely my favorite peppy.

5) Gonzo - He moved into my gamecube town about two years ago. I didn't know he existed before that because he hasn't been in an ac game since. I hope they bring him back, he's super adorable. I love how rude he is.

6) Jambette - Silly looking frog with a sweet personality.

7) Huck - Another one that moved into my gamecube town. At first I thought his nose was weird but he grew on me really fast.

8) Boone - My best friend in Wild World.

9) Billy - This goat was my favorite villager in my first town ever and I remember he lived by the beach. I used to come home from school and talk to him because I had no real friends. Lmao Even though I haven't seen him since he'll always have a place in my heart.

10) Pierce - He was also in my first town and I loved him so much.

Nintendo needs to bring my gamecube faves back in the next ac game.

Joey-Yeah,he moved out on me but fortunately,I had a spare Joey laying around.He's still my favorite.
Nan-I adopted her over on ACC a really long time ago.I've always liked her unusual appearance.
Gaston-It's the 'stache.
Bree-Gaston's longstanding neighbor and the only mouse villager I've had in the game.
Goose-More people need to experience a deranged chicken living in their town.
Tutu-I didn't know there was a polar bear in Animal Crossing until I saw Tutu in a dream town not long after getting New Leaf.Yeah...must have large white bear.
Eloise-A snobby,yellow elephant with a serious attitude problem.Sign me up.
Canberra-She's weird looking but a lot of fun to have around.
Curly-If Porky Pig was a dimwitted jock,he'd be Curly.
Wart Jr.-Good ol' Wart was too stubborn to move to my frog town when I started it but that's why there's a Camofrog.

Well the last time I played Animal Crossing was years ago. And I didn't really have any favourites but in New Leaf, I definitely have. Wendy - She was one of my first five and when she moved I was generally sad, she's so bouncy and cheerful and her melon scarf is so cute omg ;-;

Beau - I didn't really understand the hype about him until I actually got him. Beau is hands down my most favourite in my whole town. He's so sweet and cheerful shskdkdj "I've always got time for you dearie" Ive been getting quite a few Tier 1 and 2 villagers just to see what's the hype about them - Marshal being one and I don't see his appeal tbh. But Beau is a whole different story.

Teddy - HE IS So ADORABLE. Whenever I see Teddy I wanna give him a hug xD I wish we could give hugs in NL that would be sweet. Idk but for Jock villagers I only like Rudy and Teddy. Teddy is a sweetheart (constantly checking out my calves tho)

Pancetti - She is still in my town, she is one of my first five and I will never let her go. Pancetti..as snooty as she is, she isn't very snooty idk if that makes sense xD I actually really like the pigs in this game, if I could have more I would (Agnes and Gala so they could be the TriForces Piggies!)

Bunnie! Omg it look me forever to find a Peppy that I like in this game, Rosie didn't cut it for me and neither did Felicity - she just annoyed me -.- But Bunnie is so cute omg ;-; She's so bouncy (well duh that's what Peppy villagers are like) but she's also really caring at the same time, not just about herself and her fame xD Or want for it should I say.

Hazel - When I saw Hazel for the first time I was like ummmmmmmm...no. And then I actually got her in my town and I died when i walked into her house. Squirrels are by far my favourite animals in NL. Right next to Deers, I had Poppy and Pecan before her but Hazel is so adorable! She's never leaving me xD

I don't think I have any more favs - I love my dreamies all the same but these guys hold specials spots in my AC loving heart c:

1: Eugene - When I started playing Animal Crossing again, he quickly became my best friend. I walked in on him sleeping in his house, and it was so adorable. <3 Plus I love the smug villagers. And I thought his mouth was a fat roll at first lmao

2: Cyrano - He's the cutest anteater ever aaa. I love anteaters and crankys, so this is a win for me. Plus his big eyebrows add to his personality!

3: Bunnie - At first I wanted her, then I didn't, then I saw someone offering her for free. I was in need of a peppy, so I decided to grab her, and now I love her. I love her bright colors; they make me so happy

4: Lily - I love frogs in Animal Crossing. It's so cute how they don't use umbrellas in the rain! Sadly, I don't have and have never had Lily, but she's still super cute! Perfect representation for the normal personality.

5: Lucky - I wish I didn't let him move D: The lazy villagers are my least favorite personality because they always come off as rude, but Lucky was cute. His house scared me, but he looked adorable dressed up as a mummy. I miss him.

6: Grizzly - He moved in the only developed spot in my town. I cried. But I began to really like him. Staying up all night trying to catch tarantulas and scorpions made us bond. And by that I mean I realized how cute he was. I wish he never moved

7: Tammy - I hated her at first. I didn't like uchi villagers. But slowly, we became close. When she sent me a letter, excited over a flower she grew, I began to like her. It was an orange lily, by the way. c:

8: Stitches - The day I got back into Animal Crossing, he moved in (September 26th). I didn't know he was popular, and when I found out, I freaked out. I sold him (for only 5 million bells), and I wish I didn't. He offended me a lot, but I loved his design.

9: Rowan - In my first (and only) town, he was one of my starting villagers. We were best friends. I loved him so much. But then he moved, and I stopped playing. ono He holds a place in my heart.

10: Egbert - He's adorable. I don't need to say anything more.
