I'd like it to be like in New Leaf, but maybe you have more stuff to do than just pass around gifts? Like, you could host little events where your villagers got to "meet" Santa, but it's just you in the suit. I'd also like it if they made the clues a little easier to get, I'm tired of just having colors to go off of.

i would like a toy day were u dont have to dress up as santa. I really loved toy day in city folk because u got to dress up in multiple different outfits and trick jingle into giving u more igtfd. it was fun collecting heaps of clothes to complete the event. Im hoping with NH we can just give them gifts as ourselves and don't have to dress up as santa, because christmas is in summer in my country and if i had to wear a santa outfit i would boil to death haha.

Whats toy day?
You help Jingle by dressing as Santa, delivering presents to the villagers on Xmas Eve.
They give hints to what color/type of gift they want, and you pick the right gift from the sack Jingle gives you, and in the end you get a Xmas wreath (I think?).

No idea what it'll be like. I wouldn't be surprised if it was like in New Leaf since you're in charge of an island, but I'm honestly hoping for something new.
Maybe a combination of the two events for Jingle in the past where you have to find Jingle once (but don't have to change clothes) and he tells you he needs help. He gives you a gift and you just have to put in another villager's house if they're outside or asleep. As thanks for helping him, he'll give you a furniture piece. Deliver another gift for another present until you have all the furniture pieces (no dupes). Once you've delivered them all, he'll give you his pic as thanks.
It'd combine the finding Jingle as well as well as gift gifting without having to worry about changing clothes or getting clues.
That's just a random idea I had, though.

Toy Day was one of my favorite parts of NL, so I'm hoping they bring back something similar to it! Getting the all the clues and having to take notes in order to remember what each villager wanted was so much fun, and dressing up as Santa was really nice too. One of the few things I really want the devs to keep in NH!
