Transferring character to a new switch?

What are your experiences with transferring a character to a new switch? Is there like a game wikipedia page that lists all the things that carry over? Such as catalog/storage/diy/fish encyclopedia?

I've never done this, but I assume your catalog, DIYs, and encyclopedia progress are carried over, since they exist on your person/Nook phone. I also would guess that you'd have to manually transfer items and money over yourself.

Do you mean using an existing Nintendo profile to create a character on a new/different island? If so, then nothing carries over, and it's essentially like starting over with that character.

If transferring the island, 100% of data is transfered. You keep everything

If transferring a player, you keep everything they own in inventory, house, and storage. You also carry over the house. You keep DIYs and all Nook Miles Achievements, and miles. You keep Critterpedia. You also keep all bells in ABD... You DO NOT keep museum donations

If making a new player under the same Nintendo account, you get a brand new character with 0 progress
