So if you have seen the treehouse gameplay you would have seen her call another human player that lives on the island to play. But where was his tent? There are two tents on the island and two villagers...the tents are different from the human player and don?t have a mailbox so it has to be a villagers.

So where did the other player live? Am I missing something?

It might've not been visible due to it being a Treehouse specific demo - it also immediately popped him up as the person to call (no list to pick). After all if we are to follow the information known so far, there's only one island per Switch console.

I think what they showed off was just local multiplayer which you can do with anyone. Kind of like in Pok?mon Let's Go. I'm assuming that you don't have to make a whole character to play together on a single system.

I thought he came from another island (his own island) and she somehow call him for help?
Maybe I didn't pay enough attention in that part.

We likely just didn't see it. There's A LOT of the map we didn't get to see.

Sam went out of her way to say that she could call him up like that because he was also living on the island. We then got to know that the two tents that were visible were Hamlet's and Fuschia's. There is no other tent to be seen around. My guess is that since this was a very limited demo, that function might not yet have been fully implemented. They were actually pretty careful with this demo not to wander around too much or to show too much functions. My guess is there are still a lot of stuff missing in this alpha version of the game.

I've been wondering this.

It makes me think that the people on your friend list you can just play as them in couch co-OP mode, even if they arent necessarily there. Because there was no other tent, there was only the three (the player, Hamlet, and Fuschia) and I'm remember them mentioning he had his own Island.

Nope, he was a full character with his own unique inventory (the squid that he showed off). You can also switch leader characters, and that wouldn't make sense for a generic character.

I thought it was his house on the map and maybe another player and maybe the villagers hadn’t built their houses yet? Fushia was carrying sticks but that might have been for something else. I could very well be wrong, though, but im almost certain they mentioned that he lived on the same island.

he was on the same Island, people saw the demo and the person playing really didn't explore the map...like at all. the map was much bigger than what they showed off, we just didn't see it all (the large flowing body of water by the tent was a river). to avoid confusion the person playing probably should have...explored more than what they had, unless they either was hiding something, or like people above said the Demo was limited, or even the person was possibly surrounded by river and without bridge they needed to craft a pole to pole-vault over the river and they simply didn't do it.

I'm also thinking he didn't have a map because of it just being a demo. The feature might not yet be completely implemented in the actual game.
At least, that's what I'm really hoping is the case, and not that we have to share houses like in WW.

As for everyone saying we didn't see his house on-screen in the demo, we still saw the map, which showed Aya's tent and the tents of the two villagers, and we know for sure that the other two tents belong to the villagers, since they're shown to not have mailboxes.

Oh well nevermind then. I do hope that they still let you play without having to create an entire character cause not gonna lie that would be a hassle to set up if a friend for example would like to try the game for once. Of course it isn't an issue if it's someone you regularly play with but yeah

I have to assume that they didn't implement the other player's tent icon onto the map. Besides, they only showed off the basics.

Also, I saw two Switch consoles, and Aya did say he was farther ahead of the game than she was. (Besides, how else could they show off a 'more advanced' island before the get-together showing off the title?)

So... Maybe his character was stored in the joycon if he had his own island?

I just watched the treehouse stream again. They said that the guy they played with has a house on the island. I was mistaken earlier.

But I'm literally so confused because there's only 3 tents on the island.

I really dont think they would they just not include his house on the map because it's a demo. That seems like more trouble than it's worth and it probably doesnt work like that.

I am really hoping we don’t share houses again like WW but I really doubt that. I don’t think really anyone liked that so why bring it back.
