Hi everyone! Since I've *mostly* finished decorating my island, I've noticed a lot more lag during the daytime 💀 I'm sad to undo what I've done so far, but I think I'd rather have a stable framerate. I'm having trouble trimming down, though, because every time I've tried removing things here and there it hasn't really helped, so I always just wind up putting everything back, lol 🙈

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could visit my dream address (DA-2525-3491-1736) and report back on if/where it was laggy for you, what the likely culprits might be, and some suggestions on what to remove, rearrange, etc. I have a bunch of spare DIYs and items listed here if you'd like any in return!

Thank you ☺

for me, its not laggy at all. its so easy to explore around and ive tried running around the island to see if items pops in or pops out. and, it didnt. i can run freely and fast, and items still there. i love how clean and organized it is, i love your island!

Wow, interesting! I hope my Switch isn't dying or anything 😅 I wonder if different Switches run the game differently or something?

Thanks so much for checking it out, I'm glad you liked it! 😊

No noticable lag for me either.
My gosh, your island is so cosy and beautiful ;; I love it! I completely understand why you'd rather not 'clean up', but if it affects gameplay... Tough dilemma. Could it maybe have to do with lack of space on your Switch/memory cards?

Dreams are usually exponentially more laggy than regular play. So if you see lag in normal play, it will likely be worse in the dream.

Unfortunately, and oddly, unlike the others, I can see significant frame drops (Playing docked 1080p). It's a good island though. As I said above though, dreams are usually laggy, so I don't know if the dream Makes for a fair test. It's acceptable to say the least. I've seen worse (more laggy)

Your island is "Isla Dulce" correct?

I just visited as well and had no lag either.
The island looks great!

Thanks everyone! (And for your kind words too 💖) It's so weird how people have different experiences, it makes it harder to narrow down what the problem really is 🤔

ATM I've just got physical copies of AC and Stardew Valley with the data stored in my Switch's internal storage, so there's still quite a lot of free space, but I did wonder if not having a separate memory card could maybe cause issues? I might try ordering a decent-sized card and migrating my AC data over to that to see if there are any improvements.

JKDOS, Isla Dulce is correct! It's definitely a flaw that dreams are a bit laggier in general, but I thought I might get some ideas on how to improve some of the worst-hit areas (on my Switch, at least). It's surprised me that it's not actually Treacle City for everyone, haha 😅
